I brewed a mug of green tea this morning and added 2 teaspoons of this gross tonic I have to take because I'm ill. All it is is vitamins and minerals in nasty syrup stuff.

Anyway, it turned my tea a weird opaque liquorice black-purple colour. It doesn't taste of much, except the tonic, but I'm wondering if this has any adverse effects on the tea or if anyone knows what's going on?

My friends and I would like to go together as a group of 16- and 17-year-olds to Amsterdam for a week, staying in a youth hostel (I know what you're thinking, hahah, teenagers in Amsterdam, but we won't be doing anything we wouldn't at home). I'm wondering if this would be within the law? Are we still minors?

I have been learning French for five years. If I had been at my school from when I was in Kindergarten, I would have been learning it for eight years. I believe that starting young makes it much easier.
