My profession is that of social work. Passion is for work with those segregated in our Society but also for those "most at risk" (of whatever Life offers). Initially, my passion was police work and I was proud to be a part of Manitoba's first RCMP VS Unit (many moon's ago now). That passion expanded to Child & Family Services; etc. I consider myself to be a "lucky" social worker: I practise lots of self-care & don't spend sleeplessness over anyone who isn't interested in helping me help themselves.   • provincial acts ... The Stallkeeper's Act (Manitoba)?

    Does this Act require that a Stallkeeper notify a boarder 30 days before selling the horse? And, if that is the case, what can be done if NO notice is been givern, the Stallkeeper just chooses to sell the horse at her own accord.

  • Has anyone ever met their new, m.d. and found themselves wanting to invite him somewhere?

    How silly am I being... I just wonder if others have been in this situation and what they did to solve their 'dilemma'.

    I did find him looking at my jewellery, rings... And his stare when he told me to come back. I could have fallen off my chair.

    He's single, new to the small town and busy, no kids either.

    Maybe this will just pass if I hear others who had similar experiences. So far, I can hardly wait to go back as scheduled in 2 weeks.

  • My male friend has really surprised me this time!!!?

    Well, I've heard it all now. One of my friends, a male, has been complaining that looking for sex at home is one sided and the wife isn't interested anymore. I did what friends will do and offered some 'counselling advice'. I knew he was looking but now he tells me he's found a classy gal who he's officially having an affair with (they email all the time, chat on phone). She's been invited by him to his home when his wife is away on business.... He's well established, successful, kids, etc.
