Well, looks you checked out my profile. Neat. I always like a new friend ;) At any rate, I'm a hobbyist audiophile and computer builder. I typically lurk around and assist people with buying decisions whether it's a new pair of headphones or a new computer. • Whats up with this nonsense? We need our rights?

Cons want their military style guns and high capacity magazines.

    Libs want weed legalized.

Really, why not get them both? They ultimately allow for lower crime rates and a smaller black market, increased consumer spending and government funds, and more personal freedom and fulfillment.

  • What tools are required to make a machine gun?

Situation- A virus outbreak has left the world in ruins, and a band of gun-wielding crazies take over, form a dictatorship, and make everyone else their slaves. A few resourceful people band together and decide to make weapons to arm the slaves for a rebellion.

The materials available are steel billets, piping, and sheet metal, as well as plenty of barrel blanks with a small budget for tools and machines ( $10,000-$20,000 ) Obviously a metal mill and lathe will be required, but I'm not sure about the other tools.

What tools are needed to produce ( with reasonable efficiency ) -

= A submachine gun ( Mac10, Sten, or any other simple design )

= An assualt rifle ( AK47 or any other simple design you can think of. )

= A light machine gun ( simple designs are critical to keep tooling costs low. )

  • Looking for a good home defense gun, what do you recommend?

I have a budget of $800, and I'm mostly looking at semi automatic shotguns.

The most important features to me are high reliability ( most important aspect ), short barrel length ( 20 inches or lower ) and high capacity. ( 6+1 at least, but I can take 5+1 if it has a very short barrel. )

With that said, I'm open to any suggestions other than semi-auto shotguns. What models do you recommend I take a look at? Thanks for your help, it's truly appreciated.

  • Why are people even arguing whether "assualt" weapons should be banned?

It's a little silly to ban a gun based purely on an intimidating look and a big magazine. A skilled shooter can change a magazine in 2 seconds, and can even tape them together for an even quicker change.

However, you can't deny that we should always try to make it more difficult for CRIMINALS to obtain weapons. In fact, if somebody buys a gun secondhand, they don't even need a background check. 93% of gun crime uses illegal guns, and by and large this is the most common way they are obtained.

The obvious solution is to regulate secondhand gun sales by requiring a government funded background check for all of those transactions, along with tighter requirements to buy guns at all. This allows lawful citizens to have maximum freedom while still increasing the difficulty criminals face when trying to obtain illegal guns far more than you could by simply catering to fleeting passions and banning all "assault" rifles.

What are your opinions on the issue? Do you think this is a good solution, and what would you personally do?

  • Why are people even arguing whether assualt weapons should be banned?

Plain and simple, there needs to be a 10 round limit on gun magazines. I don't care if people want to buy ARs or AKs, but a round limit on magazines should be enforced.

You don't need more than that for hunting. Honestly, if it takes anything close to 10 shots to kill something, you have to improve your own abilities, not complain about the government.

You don't need that much for self defense either. Seriously, your aiming are far important than how many rounds you have. To be frank, if a burglar resorted to a gun fight, as soon as you fired one shot, it would reveal your location, and you would be fired upon, possibly killed. It's far more important to make your shots count.

  • Why are some people worried the government will take their guns away?

It would never be allowed! Even if some BS plans sneaks through that does, a dozen men and a garage with a cheap metal lathe and mill can churn out a thousand STEN smg guns in a week using cheap scrap metal.

  • Why do people support gay marriage?

If two people of identical gender genuinely love each other, there is no reason why they cannot marry each other. Some people will claim that marriage is "between a man and a woman", but the true LEGAL definition of marriage has yet to be defined.

In reality, that's not the primary reason people are opposed to the law.

You probably already know about the immense tax breaks married couples get. They amount to thousands of dollars saved every year. You could easily get married to somebody you don't even love and get thousands of dollars in tax breaks every year. A gay marriage law would open up a huge loophole that thousands of people would wind up using to evade taxes.

  • What career is easy and pays a lot of money?

I want a job that pays a good amount of money ( 100K + salary ), one that is easy ( And by easy, I mean one where I work a normal 40 hour shift, and not have to worry about my job while at home. ) I don't want to spend more than 8 years in college to get there either

My strengths are chemistry, anatomy, and math. My weak spots are english and history ( I can still get high scores in them, but it requires a lot more effort. )

    What do you recommend?

  • Don't you just hate the puppets?

    Let me clarify.

The "puppets" I speak of are everywhere. Especially around here.

The puppets are basically pawns of the party they deliberately give themselves up to. Nothing more. Nothing less. Quite frankly, their views are so skewed and one sided that anyone with a brain ignores their blithering ignorance.

Puppets come in all forms. They can be democrat, republican, anything, and I mean ANYTHING. They sit around on a computer all day and make inane claims about whatever party opposes them. It's quite sad really to watch these people waste away their life to a party that genuinely doesn't care any more about them than the party they attack.

Now, many of you reading this many be republican or democrat or something else. Maybe you are a puppet, maybe you aren't. Generally speaking, you aren't one if you don't go around all day making inane and pointless questions and answers to make your party seem like the one and only good party ( Unless you are paid for it, that just means it's your job. )

Are you sick of them? I sure as hell am.

  • What GPA do you need for pharmacy school?

I want to do pharmacy because I like people, I'm great with Chemistry, Anatomy, and Math, and it quicker than medical school. I'm going into one of those 6 year programs ( 2 years for prereqs, 4 years of Pharm school. )

I typically pull down a 3.7 - 3.8 weighted GPA in high school. Will I stand a good chance at getting into the second, 4 year portion of the program ( the grad school part ) if I keep a 3.7 GPA and do well on the PCAT?
