3 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoAre you worried about people who can barely write asking technical questions?
I make many grammatical and spelling mistakes but some questions are worded so poorly that I wonder if these people should be messing with reloading, gun-building or even shooting in general.
14 AnswersHunting1 decade agoCan you use a case gauge to judge pressures?
I know about pressure signs on the case head and flattened primers. I also know that these are not very accurate. I don't have a good enough mic to check expansion.
I have noticed even after firing some rounds still fit in my case gauge. Anybody use their case gauge to check pressures?
2 AnswersHunting1 decade agobuilding a "Reverse" solenoid ..?
I am wrapping the magnet wire around a plastic core.
Then I am slipping the core into a steel tube.
It seems to me the flux should push against the steel tube and push wire wrapped core.
When I send current thruough wire nothing happens. Tested with typical solenoid design and the windings should be adequate.
Thanks

1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoIndian weddings aren't they a little too self indulgent?
I was lamenting that it is outrageous that weddings cost 20k in the U.S. when an Indian scoffed and said that it was more like 100k in India. She seemed quite proud of the fact too. With so much poverty and just the pure gawdiness of it isn't it a little embarassing? I am embarrassed at the U.S. and India seems worse. I understand getting together with family. If my wife had talked about spending money like that on our wedding I would not have married her. I would not want her to be half of our children's moral compass. I am sorry I work with many Indians and this seems so grotesque and out of character. What am I missing?
5 AnswersOther - India1 decade agoWhy concentrate so much on deer when small game is more fun?
I just don't get it. Deer meat does not taste that good to me. Killing a deer is so easy it is just not fun. If you can hit a 12" circle at 100 yards you can kill a deer. Small game tastes so good and you have to be a crack shot. You get a lot of action.
I know it seems like trolling so to make it a question what is your favorite small game forum?

3 AnswersHunting1 decade agopalm shelf, wrist Shelf, grip shelf etc what is the benefit on a rifle?
I know the benefit on pistol of pressing the hand up (love my fat magwell). I don't like the grip on my AR and I see the SPRs have grip shelves (or whatever they are called)... Why? What good does it do? will it make any difference? It looks cool so I may get it anyway. No not for a CAV arms lower (I ordered my CAV-aid lower... HAVE YOU)
1 AnswerHunting1 decade agoWhat is a good gun?
On this site I have learned that
Glocks are junk
highpoints are great
p22s will only take one type of ammo but are great guns (someone actually said that)
Etc.
It leaves me wondering what is a good gun? because I am totally wrong.
14 AnswersHunting1 decade agoheating food how to?
what are some good ways to heat food while outdoors. I have tried MRE heaters and they really did not get the food hot. I don't want to start a fire just to have a warm lunch. I don't want to pack a bunch of stuff like fuel and a stove.

2 AnswersHunting1 decade agoJust ordered my Cav-Arms Lower How do I make it look mean?
https://www.agparms.com/product.php?productid=1614...
It's black. If they start selling the other colors to support cavarms I wil get another color. I want to put together a light weight piece that looks good. I am so mad right now that I want to build something that expresses my feelings.
There is talk about making a pink cav-aid lower. So tips on how to make pink look evil are welcome
4 AnswersHunting1 decade agoWhy don't people use the 357 sig in open guns?
It should make major and it should create enough pressure to get the comps to works. Necked cartridges headspace better and are thus more accurate. Also necked cartridges feed better.
