  • Elderly listens more to outsiders than family members?

    those who are taking care of their elderly folks - do you agree?

    my dad just won't listen to us, but he believes and listens to what other people (even those he met on the streets) say..he's a diabetic and has glaucoma, refuses to take his insulin shots most of the time, and undiscreetly eats sugary food whenever we advise him not to. not to mention grumpy & stubborn too..

    how do you guys cope?

    i'm just curious, now with english spoken everywhere (esp. in non-english speaking countries) - do you speak english more than your mother tongue? if so, why?
