10 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoDo standard deductions require documentation?
I am 21, single, no dependents, full time student, waitress, not a homeowner.
First question.. it is in my best interest NOT to itemize, right?
Second question... Do standard deductions require documentation, such as reciepts and proof of purchases?
Third question... What kinds of things CAN i write off?
Thanks so much!
3 AnswersUnited States1 decade agoPossible liver shunt puppy?
I have a 3.5 lb yorkie puppy whose test just came back indicative of a liver problem (pre test normal - post test was 23.1). I've heard not to worry if the post wasn't over 100 but this is a "replacement" puppy for one i lost over the summer with this same condition.
The puppy that died this summer had every single symptom of a shunt.. this one has NONE. She is so hyper, gains weight, eats fine and drinks good too.
I don't know if I should give her back to the breeder or if her condition is not going to interfere with her living a normal life.
I'm seeking answers on here only to hear your opinions.. I'm working closely with my vet as well.
1 AnswerDogs1 decade agoSafe for dog to ingest human hair?
My 3 lb yorkie just yelped out of pain because my hair was mixed in with her poo and she couldn't push it out! This freaked me right out!!
Besides vacuuming a ton is there anything else I can do to prevent this? Are there any very harmful effects of this?
Weird question, I know :o]
3 AnswersDogs1 decade agoIs there such a thing as preventative dewormer?
I'm going to the vet on Tuesday, with a stool sample-- so don't freak out on me about that, please.
I was just wondering if there was such a thing as a preventative dewormer... I haven't seen the common signs of worms but my puppy is 10 weeks old and was never dewormed by the breeder. Is this something that you're just supposed to give them to be safe? Or do you only deworm after you see worms in the excrement or anal cavity?
I had a puppy a few months ago (who died of a liver shunt). The vet did not see any signs of worms with her, but gave her a thirty dollar dewormer. I'm already spending a TON on tests for this one's liver, so I'd rather buy the dewormer myself if its necessary...
Thanks so much!

1 AnswerTattoos1 decade agoPuppy Name? Female Yorkie, Special Situation!?
I have asked this question before.. and most people just listed a bunch of random names or gave a link to baby name site. I am looking for CREATIVE ANSWERS.. please :o]
I just recently lost my baby girl... Lucy... at two months of age, she died of a liver shunt and was very very special to me. The breeder is graciously blessing us with a new baby girl in a few weeks.
I am looking for creative, thoughtful answers... I really like old fashioned names but anything will be appreciated.
Thanks so much.
5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhat is a good name for my Yorkie girl?
This is a special case because my last baby girl died of a liver shunt at 2 months old so this is a very emotional time for us... the first girls name was Lucy.
Thank you!!
9 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWet dog food sparks and smokes??
Okay so I have a pretty sick 11 week Yorkie on my hands, she is totally making herself sick because she doesn't each much and doesn't drink without me giving it to her by eyedropper.. Anyway.. I've been trying different things to get her to eat her wet and dry food.. Recently I warmed up her wet Science Diet puppy food and she really liked it. So the next time i did the same but when I looked in the microwave there were sparks and a little smoke.. as if it were catching on fire! I scooped a bit more from other cans and it all does the same thing...
My question...
Is it safe to warm up wet dog food.... and is there something in it that would cause this to happen?

11 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhat is the next round of shots my puppy needs?
I have an 11 week Yorkie. She was given the distemper, canine adenovirus types 1 and 2, parainfluenza, and parvovirus combination vaccine. What is the next vaccine she needs? I took her to the vet yeterday but she wasn't feeling well so the vet wanted to hold off on the shot for a few more days. What shot will it be?
3 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhat is wrong with my Yorkie puppy?
Ok I'm going to the vet first thing in the morning... six hours from now.. so don't lecture me about taking her please... I just can't sleep and I'm wondering what to expect when I go....
Her symptoms are..
Extreme lethargy, comletely disinterested in me and anything else.. only wants to slee.
Lack of appetite, will only eat human food, no dog food
Not interested in water although I can get some down with an eye dropper
Impulsive licking of humans
Gurgling stomach and vomitted once
She pooped once today and it was a normal stool, and she is peeing almost as much as normal.
This has been going on for two days and I'm just so worried...
4 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhen is deworming done for the first time?
I purchased a 9 week old, 1.5 lb Yorkie last week, upon purchase I asked the breeder if the baby had been dewormed and she said no.. that it was to be done at the second shots (which I am taking her to tomorrow). Is this true?
Over the last three days she has not been eating and is so so so tired and she puked once today.... she has no blood in her poo and doesn't have diarehea (so i'm thinkin no on Parvo?).. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow morning at seven a.m so please don't tell me that I need to take her to the vet.
I'm looking for an answer to the deworming question, as well as any info you could give me on what is wrong with her!

1 AnswerSpecial Education1 decade agoWhat major retail stores allow small dogs?
Please do not reply with your opinion of whether or not SHOULD bring my dog into a store, I'm simply asking if where she would be allowed. She is a 3 llb Yorkie and I have a pet carrier purse for her. I'm in Phoenix, Arizona....
Thanks so much
