I have two excel spreadsheets where I have two sets of account numbers(one column per sheet respectively), one list is 8000 Long and one is 800. I need a formula that will allow me to match the account numbers and return the state code in another column on the opposite spreadsheet!

My boss has a master list of accounts and a detail list. He wants the state code from the detail list on the master list where appropriate. Please help!

After just under two months working in Market Research, I was fired from my first post-college job.

The reason was that they said I wasn't learning fast enough, which I consider untrue... Many, many people consider me the smartest person they have every met (though I disagree with that, but still...) and the place was a little... disorganized.

Also don’t forget that ı , j , and k are vectors, and so they must have the arrow decoration. Once you have found one of the unit vectors, stop and think about why it is really easy to find the second one.

Generally I would like to know how to do vector parametrization, in particular how to find a direction vector & anything else I should know. The problem I am working is:

A line passes through the points P = (4,0,1) and Q =(-2,3,5)

(i) Write down a vector parametrization for the line.

(ii) Write down parametric equations for the line.

Answer:

P=(4,0,1) , Q=(-2,3,5)

PQ=(-2,3,5)-(4,0,1) = (-6,3,4)

(i) To take the vector parametrization

take one of the given points and the direction vector:

(4,0,1)+t(-6,3,4)

(ii) The parametric equations are:

the line is (4,0,1)+t(-6,3,4) so

x=4-6t

y=3t

z=1+4t
