  • How would you say "Live A Poem Or Die A Fool" in classical latin?

    Here's a little background.

The qoute comes from a Spider-Man villian from the 70's and 80's named The Foolkiller. Long story short he was a homocidal maniac who believed he was saving civilisation and the human race by murdering those he deemed to lack a poetic nature. Returning beauty to life by exterminating those who made living ugly and barbaric, that sort of thing. As a character I also liked how some writers were more likely to actually respect the character. Unlike other villians it was in his nature to be philiosophical and introspective. Sure he was a murderous psycho and sometimes even he couldn't escape the campy-ness of the 70's but nobody's perfect.

As for why I'm looking for it in classical latin, and this will sound rather silly, I'm thinking about getting it tattooed down my left arm along with some other gems of mankind's attempts at actual wisdom. So far however all the other phrases are in classical latin. It would look weird still in English. Thanks!
