  • Accounting Interest Expense on loan?

    Some bank loans $250,000 for a yacht. The note will be repaid in equal monthly payments over 30 years with an interest at 12 percent.

    How much of the first months payment an interest expense if the monthly payment was $2,571.53?

    I have tried every combination I can think of and none of the answers are correct.

    If you answer, please explain. Thank you.

  • Physics final - quick help needed?

    I am looking through my old exams to prep for my final and I am stuck on this one.

    Two forces act on a hockey puck. One is 23.3 N, directly eastward. The other is 15.0 N, 60.0° north of east. If you wish to apply a third force to keep the puck from accelerating, what must be its magnitude and direction?

    I know the answer is [33.4 N, 22.9° south of west] but I struggled with this part before and am lost again.

    If you could throw me a bone, i'd appreciate it. Thanks!

  • stats confidence interval - please help!?

    I am getting really frustrated with this problem.... I am already late on the submission so it doesn't matter but I want to know how to do the ****ing thing.

    a = .01, n = 38, xbar = 34, s2 = 12

    what is the 95% CI for mu?

    I need to know how to do it, and the answer please.. so I know if I am doing it right.

  • Phyiscs - Angle of Third Force?

    Three forces act on a body which moves with constant velocity. One force is 7 N acting at an angle of 45°, and the second is 18 N acting at an angle of 135°. What is the angle of the third force in degrees (measured the same way, relative to the positive x-axis, and between 0 and 360°) ?

    Really stuck on this, any help would be appreciated, thanks!

  • Physics concept - forces?

    Two people A and B are standing

    A weighs twice as much as B.

    If A pushes to the left on B, what can be said about the forces and accelerations on each person?

    1. B experiences a force and an acceleration to the left, while A experiences an equal force in the opposite direction. A acceleration is to the right and is twice B.

    2. B experiences a force and an acceleration to the left, while Fred experiences no force and no acceleration.

    3. B experiences a force and an acceleration to the left, while A experiences an equal force and equal acceleration in the opposite direction.

    4. B experiences a force and an acceleration to the left, while A experiences an equal force in the opposite direction. A's acceleration is to the right and is half of B.

    5. Both A and B experience the same forces and accelerations.

    I think it is number 4? Only have one shot at it though, thanks!

  • physics tension of cord on plane?

    A box (mass m1 = 4.21 kg) on a frictionless plane inclined at angle θ1 = 31.1°

    The box is connected via a cord of negligible mass to a box (mass m2 = 3.40 kg) on a frictionless plane inclined at angle θ2 = 58.9°.

    The pulley is frictionless and has negligible mass. What is the tension in the cord?

    I set it up as follows,

    ( (3.4 * 9.8 * sin(58.9)) + (4.21*9.8*sin(31.1)) ) / ( 1+ 3.4/4.21 )

    I get... 27.5735 N

    But am told that is wrong, anyone willing to point out where I messed up? Thanks.

    There is a picture but it is just a right triangle lying on its hypotenuse with the boxes on either leg.

  • Accounting - Unearned revenue service?

    I ran into the following question and I am confused on what exactly they are asking for.

    Kibitz Fitness received $27,000 from customers on August 1, 2011. These payments were advance payments of yearly membership dues.

    At December 31, 2011, calculate what the balances in the Unearned Service Revenue and Service Revenue accounts will be. Round your answer to the nearest dollar.

    They never say which year the dues are for so I assume they are for 2012, if that is the case then Kibitz should have 27k in unearned revenue at Dec 31st, 2011 right? I feel like they want me to divide the 27k over 5 months i'm not sure.

  • Am I solving this correctly?

    0 = 200 + 50*sin(61.2) - 4.9*t^2

    4.9*t^2 = 200 + 50*sin(61.2)

    t^2 = (200 + 50*sin(61.2)) / 4.9

    t = sqrt((200 + 50*sin(61.2)) / 4.9)

    t= 7.05

  • Acceleration - total distance traveled?

    A vehicle accelerates from rest at 1.5 m/s2 for 15 seconds, the vehicle remains at this speed for an additional 20 seconds, after which the driver applies the breaks giving the vehicle an acceleration of -2.5 m/s2 until the vehicle is no longer moving.

    How do I determine the total distance traveled?

    Thanks!

  • Direction of vectors?

    I am trying to find the degree of three vectors A+B+C

    Vector coordinates are:

    ___|_X_|_Y_|

    _A_| -6_| -3_|

    _B_| -2_|_3_|

    _C_|_4_|_6_|

    I tried,

    arctan(-3/-6) = 26.56

    arctan(3/-2) = -56.31

    arctan(6/4) = 56.31

    Added them together to get 26.56 but that was incorrect.

    If you know where I am going wrong with this feel free to let me know. Thanks

  • Vector magnitude - 3 vectors 2d?

    The question I am working on is,

    Vectors

    ___|_X_|_Y_|

    _A_| -6_| -3_|

    _B_| -2_|_3_|

    _C_|_4_|_6_|

    Find the magnitude of A + B + C.

    I took

    (-6^2 + -3^2) = 45, sqrt(45) = 6.7

    (-2^2 + 3^2) = 13, sqrt(45) = 3.6

    (4^2 + 6^2) = 52, sqrt(45) = 7.2

    6.7 + 3.6 + 7.2 = 17.5

    But the answer is not 17.5, where am I going wrong here? Thanks.
