Recently I asked my friend to send me documents through DHL. It was kept inside a blue map, which is my university certificate map, with its logo and all. She then wrapped the whole thing up with a brown paper before dropping it @ DHL. When she dropped the package, the DHL person didn't say anything about document checking nor did she open the package.

So when the package came to me, it was like this: a large DHL envelope, inside is the said brown package with my friend's handwriting, inside is another DHL envelope (smaller one) that contain all my documents. My documents are intact, but they removed my blue map, which has sentimental feelings, so naturally I feel enraged.

I am thinking about suing them (I don't care how petty it sounds), so...is it legal for them to just open up our documents?
