  • Pink Eye/conjunctivitis?

I was diagnosed with pink eye yesterday, the doctor prescribed drops for my eyes. The drops really burn when I put them in my eyes. I have had pink eye in the past and don't remember ever having this problem before. Does anyone know if this is normal?

  • PCOS and a second Baby?

I asked this question earlier today, but only recieved one reponse, asking again to see if I can get more answers.

OK I am a 29 year old female with a 3 year old daughter, conceived after 1 year of trying. My husband and I have been trying for a second baby for 1 1/2 years. I went to my annual gyno exam today and my midwife wants to run some tests to rule out PCOS. Is it possible for us to have conceived 1 child naturally even if I have PCOS, or is it possible that I have since her birth developed PCOS? I have a friend from work that just got diagnosed with PCOS and her gyno told her that it would have been impossible for her to conceive naturally with PCOS

  • Any one into dream interpretation?

I had a very unusual dream, and I am just wondering if anyone could possibly give me some meaning behind it. In my dream I have a mouth full of rocks and dirt, and I am trying very hard to get it out of my mouth, but it just keeps coming, and gaging me. I was trying to have a conversation with someone but couldn't because of the dirt in my mouth. The person was a child hood friend I have not seen in well over 10 years, in case that matters. I tried to wash the rocks and dirt out of my mouth with water but it didn't matter. It was still there

  • Traveling internationally with a 14 month old?

My husband and I are going to the Philippines: apx 24-36 hours of travel from start to finish. We have a 14 month old who will be coming with us. Any suggestions on how to keep her occupied while in the airport, on the airplane and any other stops in between?

  • Ovulating while still breastfeeding?

My daughter is almost 10 months old. She has been exclusively breastfed since the day she was born, starting solids around five months old. She still nurses around 4-5 times a day and I pump when I am going to be away from her for any extended period of time. I had my first period around 6 months after she was born. That cycle was apx 40 days. My next cycle was 35 days, and now I am on my third cycle since having her and I still have not had my period after 42 days. And I have no symptoms of it coming on. Before I got pregnant my cycle averaged 32 days. My question is, it is normal to have an irregular cycle while breastfeeding?

  • How Long are passports good for for babies?

If I get my daughter a passport within the next month or so, she is only 4 months old, for travel in March of next year (2009). How long are passports good for babies/children? I guess my concern is that because the photo will not be accurate as she changes and grows, will it be a problem. Or is it still good like normal passports, for 10 years?

  • Passport requirements for babies?

My husband, daughter, and I are planning a trip to the Philippines in March of next year. Our daughter will be almost one year old, actually she will have her first birthday while we are there. I was wondering what are the passport requirements for babies. Her father, my husband, is a Filipino citizen with a US greencard, I am a US citizen, if that makes any difference at all. Thanks very much.

  • First Years Breast Pump?

I just purchased "The first years" Breast pump today from Wal-mart, I am due in two weeks. I am a full time nursing student and will be having my baby over spring break, and then will have to return to school after one week recovery. My question is for those of you who have used "the first years" brand, did you like it, were you successful, and were you able to get enough milk to sustain your baby while you were away. I will only have about 1 week to establish breast feeding before I have to return to school and I want to make sure that while I am away my husband will have plenty of milk to give our baby. I will be gone away from her about 4 hours on Monday and 6 hours on Tuesday, but will be with her for the rest of the week. There is a seal on the box stating that it cannot be returned if the seal is broken, and so I don't want to open it until I hear of some success stories of people who used "The first years" Natural Transitional Double Electric breast pump. Thanks

  • Prenatal Classes?

Ok so tommorrow is our prenatal class, (birthing/lamamze). My husband and I will be there all day 8 AM to 4 PM. In the letter they sent me about 3 months ago letting us know when our schedual would be, there were suggestions on things we could bring. But now I have lost the letter. Some things I can remember are lawn chairs, pillows, and a towel/blanket. Anything else I should bring? What should I expect? I am so excited, I have been looking forward to this from the day I got the letter.

  • Didn't get a chance to vote?

I live in MO and from everything I heard on the local news polling places were supposed to be open until 7 PM. I had to wait until my mom got off of work in order to go vote because my husband has our car at work. I got to the doors at about 6:15 PM and they were locked and there was no one in sight. I would like to know who I can call/contact to complain, because I am really upset that I did not get to exercise my right to vote. Can anyone give me an idea?

    Thanks

  • Dreadlocks?

My husband is Filipino, so he has course and thick black hair, he is wanting to possibly try dreadlocks. We are still in the discussion phase and need some more info. He has been growing out his hair for the past 8 or 9 months. What I was wondering is, how do we do them (would it be better to get it professionally done? If so how much does it cost?), how do we maintain them, and can he wash his hair (He seems to have heard that if you get them done you can't wash your hair, but I have never heard that before)?

    Thanks

  • What could cause Severe Cramps (plz read details)?

Starting Friday of last week, I have had symptoms of a UTI, burning and urgency. I am still having these symptoms, but very midly. My concern though is yesterday I had SEVERE period cramps 9 on a 10 scale, worst in my life. The problem is I NEVER (never is a big word, but never) get cramps in the middle of my cycle, I am still 10 days out from my period. I normally get cramps a few days out from my period, but never this severe. My hubby and I are TTC, and I am about 4 to 5 days past ovulation.

Just wondering what could cause the cramps? Could it be connected to the UTI? Or another reason! Thanks!
