Does school-based student drug testing really help?
Substance abuse has a negative impact on our society.
So any effective measure to lessen that impact is a good thing for now and for our future, right?
Is school-based student drug testing among the effective measures?
3 AnswersOther - Education1 decade agoDo we need more laws to handle underage drinking, or do we teach responsibility?
According to a 2005 national survey, about 10.8 million people ages 12-20 (28.2 percent) reported past month alcohol use. Nearly 7.2 million of these underage drinkers (18.8 percent) were binge drinkers and 2.3 million (6.0) were heavy drinkers. These figures have remained essentially the same since 2002.
Do we need more laws to prevent youth from continuing this or should the responsibility lie in the parents, teachers and peers to teach the truth and how to be responsible?
12 AnswersBeer, Wine & Spirits1 decade agoMy 15 month old reduced the amount she eats and is losing weight. What should I do, should I be worried?
My 15 month old used to eat like a horse. She (yes, she) would eat so much food I didn't know where it all went (she has never been large, in fact stayed generally pretty skinny).
She just recently stopped eating, only taking a few bites at a time. My mother came over the other day and said that she felt lighter.
Should I be worried that she is losing weight and not eating as much at this stage? How can I get her to eat more?
