  • Guitar alternate tunings?

I only play in standard tuning so far. If I only play a few pieces in different alternate tunings, would it be better to learn those using tablature so that I do not have to keep track of the different locations of the notes in each tuning?

  • A question about heart rate when walking/running?

When I walk/run my heart rate gradually increases for about 45 minutes then it drops for the rest of my run. Is this due to warming up, burning off the glycogen stores or something else?

  • Ice cream texture does not seem right?

I mixed 3/4 cup sugar, 3 egg yolks and 2 cups half and half and simmered it till it started to thicken a bit.

I then blended it with 1 pound of fresh raspberries chilled it and then poured it into my ice cream maker.

When it was done I put it in the freezer. It has more the texture of sorbet than ice cream. How can I get a more creamy texture?

  • I am trying to put together a beginning exercise routine for myself, so far, I have come up with.?

10 to 15 minute warmup on the treadmill, or a light set of each exercise for a warmup.

    Abs:

    crunch

    reverse crunch

I might replace these with roman chair situps and hyperextension.

    Chest and back:

    bench press

    bent over row

    upright row

    Arms and shoulders:

    military press

    curl

    tricep extension

    Legs:

    squat

    deadlift

    calf raise

Any suggestions to make it better.

  • What is your opinion of people blocking the running path in a county park.?

When I do my run in the local county park my path is usually hindered by small children on bicycles scooters pets on long leashes. The children and the pets I can live with. people who run 4 and 5 abreast and take up the whole path, and school cross country teams that stand around and block the path when they are not running or adults who are standing around chatting and blocking the whole path is quite irritating.
