  • Linking Two Facebook Pages?

Hopefully I can make this make sense. A friend of mine created a business page. It is linked to one email acct. He then created another business page while logged into his personal page (a different email acct). He never did publish the second business page from his personal acct. and he doesn't even want it anymore. The first business page is doing well and he doesn't want to lose it but he wants it linked somehow to his personal page. Is this even possible? I told him he may just have to create a new business page from his personal act and just let people know this new one will be the one he's using. Then later delete the business page that's up and running now and that's doing well. I'm not sure of any other way to do it. I don't see how it can be linked to his personal page.Any suggestions?

  • Sending Emails for a Fundraiser?

I'm thinking of doing research to collect the emails of doctors, lawyers and other businessmen in my area to let them know of an upcoming Golf Scramble to benefit a children's shelter. Would sending emails to all of them be considered SPAM? Could I get in trouble (legally) for sending an unsolicited email? It's not too hard to find their emails - some are right there on their website. I just don't want to send emails to a bunch of lawyers and have them turn around and prosecute me! Any help please? Thanks!

  • Being an Independant Contractor and Taxes?

I am an independant contractor providing services to smaller business such as web design, advertising and computer organizing. I know as an IC, I can make a little over $600 and not have to pay taxes on it. Someone told me that applies to EACH client I have throughout the year. So say I earn $550 from Client A for the whole year and I earn $400 from Client B for the same year. The total is $950 so I thought I would have to pay taxes but the person told me that I don't since they are 2 different jobs. She said you are allowed to make less than that $600 some PER CLIENT. So here's the question: If I have 20 clients but they all pay me less than $600 for the year, do I owe any taxes?

  • Deducting Health Insurance Premiums?

I am self employed but my husband is employed by someone. He is able to get insurance for himself from his employer but to add myself and our daughter on it would be an additional $15,000 a year - I'm not exaggerating,it's really ridiculous. So, we have purchased health insurance elsewhere for the 2 of us. Now, my question is, are these premiums deductible (since I am self employed) even though we could get it through his work? No one in their right mind is getting it there for their family. Thanks for any help!

  • Anyone Know of a Working Yahoo HotJobs Promo/Discount Code?

I've been looking in vain for a promo code for placing a job offer on Yahoo's HotJobs. Does anyone have one that still might work?! All the ones I try say "invalid code" when I type it in. It's only for 1 ad so the ones for placing multiple ads won't work. Any help ASAP would be very appreciated!! Thank you!

  • HELP!! New website not displaying?

This is so crazy!! I have created a new website from an existing website but am unable to view my new website. Everyone else seems to be able to view it but all I see is my old site! I've tried clearing the browser history (clearing the cache) but to no avail. It started with I had my site with one web hosting company, but wanted to switch to another so I pointed my domain to the other one and started my new design and published it but whenever I type it in all I get is my OLD website, not my new published site. I called my new web host and they can't figure it out. I called my ISP and they can't figure it out. They recommended using a different browser ( I have IE ) so I downloaded Firfox but it's the same thing! Old version of my website! Any tech brains out there that might know what'

s going on and how I can fix it?! It's like my computer is locking me out from seeing what everyone else is seeing! By the way, I have a laptop and it does the same thing. If anyone can help with this, THANK YOU!!!

  • Can I use a company's logo on dealer's website?

I am making websites for small businesses locally and need to know if I can use the logo of a company they are a dealer and distributor for without having to contact the companies. One business uses heating, air conditioning, water filters, etc from different companies ( i.e. Delta Faucets). They think that since they ARE a dealer/distributor, it should be ok to use the company's logo without contacting them since they use it all the time anyway in other advertising. They contacted one company themselves and the company said they had never heard of it being an issue, that everyone does it and they don't see a problem with it. I guess the main issue is: if you are a DEALER for their products, do you need permission? If you AREN'T a dealer, is that when you need to obtain permission? Thanks for any help!

  • How Do I get Adobe on My Website?

I am wanting to create forms that customers/clients can print out and then fill out and send to me or bring to me. I have seen this on other sites- it says fill out the forms and when you click on it, it sends you to another page with Adobe (PDF) and the form is right there. How do I do this? Do I need something like Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional? If so, would an earlier version work just as well ( 7 or 8) since they are cheaper? Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Need a promo code for Indiana Super 8 Hotel?

I need a promo or discount code for Super 8 if anyone knows one that will work. I found one but it says you have to show that you will be on government business while there. It was supposed to be a promo code but the only way for it to work was to select the government option. Any codes that are just codes? I mean where you don't have to show any ID, paperwork, etc? It'll be for September. Thanks!

  • How do you go about making an ad to put on another site?

A local "hometown" website would like me to advertise on their site. How would I go about making an ad? After that, how does it get on their site? I don't know that I want to advertise on any other sites - probably just this one for now to see how it goes. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!

  • Tax Question From Ebay Seller?

I sell items on Ebay but do not consider myself a business. I do report my income, though, as it exceeds $600 and I also take some of the allowable deductions. My question is: Am I allowed to take any and all deductions that apply even though I don't have a business name or consider myself a business? Income this year: $9000.00. Thank you!

  • Can anyone help with tax questions from ebay sales?

I made a little over $8,000 selling this year online. I am trying to figure it on my own and could use a little help. For one thing, would it be wiser to file seperately from my husband (he made $32,000)? When I used a tax calculator to just do a sketchy run-through, it showed that if I did that, I would owe nothing. Why would that be? That didn't make sense to me. And, filing sep., my husband would get back about $2,000 less than if we filed jointly and I didn't report any earnings. Why is that? (Make sense so far?) Also, would Turbo Tax or H&R Block walk me through it fairly easily if I go that route? Going to a tax preparer would be the smartest thing probably but I know that could get expensive. Also, I was wondering if say I spent $50 to buy something to sell and it sold for $100, how do I figure that? Someone thought I could deduct that first $50 I put out for the item but I'm not sure. I have some deductions but not a lot. I've been rather bad about keeping receipts-didn't expect to make this much money this year with the online sales. Any help from anyone would be appreciated! (Hope this makes sense!) Thanks in advance!

  • Rate for Advertising Sign/Billboard on My Property?

We have a rather large sign/billboard on our property from a local business about 4 miles away. It is their own sign (not from a company like Burkhart although it's about that big!) and they do maintenance and upkeep. What should they be paying us to use our property to advertise for them? Ballpark figure is OK. We live along a major highway where a lot of traffic will see it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
