Who is responsible for Labels for supplements?
I work at a contract company. We design and create supplements for other companies. We then package them in bottles and put the label that our customer wants on the bottle. We send the bottles to the customer, and the customer then distributes to consumers. CFR 21 Section 101.36 has quite a bit of rules and regulations concerning the format and information that must be on a supplement label. Is it our companies responsibility to ensure the label follows these requirements or the customer we're making it for? Hypothetically if the FDA did find a serious error on the label, would we be held accountable? Thanks.
3 AnswersDiabetes1 decade agoFirst-time builder; is this good?
I've been building this gaming-PC for about 4 days. I am a first-time builder, and I don't know all the rules for compatibility. Could anyone confirm what I've checked before I buy all of it! :X Thank you!! Any general comments or nit-picking performance swapouts is also welcome!

I'm building my first desktop using NewEgg. I've verified what I know needs to match (ie. cpu to motherboard to graphics card and memory) but this is my first time, so it's likely I missed something.

2 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoThermostat fluctuating; does it matter?
Consider the following situation:
A home has a gas furnace with a simple thermostat that turns on and heats the house when the temperature is 1degree F lower than the set temperature.
The strategy:
Set the temperature to 68, when the furnace heats the house to 68- set the temperature to 64. When the temperature slowly falls to 64- set it back to 68.
Taking the fact that the furnace has to "warm up" each time it's starts and that maintaining 68 is harder than maintaining a temperature somewhere in the average of 64/68- Shouldn't this method save you money? Thanks!
4 AnswersConservation1 decade agoAdvise on gaining weight?
I weigh 100-105lbs, I'm 5'9" and age 22...My typical daily intake of calories is 900-1700, depending on what I eat and how often I eat. I exercise five times a week (aerobic 20min) and I feel OK except for some light fatigue after work/exercise (im sure this is normal). So yea, im unhealthily skinny. I feel overwhelmed at the amount of normal food I would have to consume in order to achieve 2000-2400 daily calorie amounts and so I looked at weight gaining supplements. Some weight gainers have mass amounts of calories in their serving size and one of my sources said its better to have 400calorie 6 times a day rather than 1600 calories twice a day.. I'm extremely confused and I feel there is quite a bit of exploitation going on in the world of weight gaining supplements. Does anyone have advice on how to gain weight healthily and inexpensively?
11 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoAre saturated fats still unhealthy if you don't have a lot of fat?
We all know saturated fats are bad (though having some is essential). However, are they only bad if you have excess weight? I have very little fat reserve. Can I eat tons of saturated fat without side-effects? "Tons" refers to perhaps having 120-200% DV per day... I realize having 2000% per day is obviously unhealthy. Knowledgeable responses only please- You're not an expert after watching a national geographic.
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoIs this angina or something else?
I seem to have the symptoms of angina. I get discomfort in the top left portion of my abdomen. This discomfort occurs sometimes at rest. Ive had an EKG during rest and it was normal. What boggles me about this is that during very high heart exertion I rarely get it. Additionally, sometimes I dont have it for weeks at a time. It may be related to stress... But I dont see why stress would cause it but excercise would not. Any ideas?
