  • Can anyone guide me to a link for a Minolta Maxxum 5400 hs flash system?

Serious respondents only, please. I have a Minolta Maxxum 5400 HS flash unit, but no manual. Do you know where I can download one, especially if it is free? I have been to the Sony site, but it was not helpful and hard to navigate. There are a lot of sites on the web that say they have every manual you could dream of, but most are just a scam to get your personal information.

  • Do you have advice on range hood liners?

I am remodelling my kitchen and I am looking for a really good, really, really quiet range hood liner. I want one with good airflow, say around 900cfm or better, but really quiet. Can anyone out there who actually knows their stuff give me some advice? I have searched the web and I get a lot of confusing information and I have contacted local appliance dealers who don't actually know much about these products.

  • Does anyone know of a new BluRay/Dvd Player that....?

I need a BluRay/DVD player that has all the bells and whistles, 3D, HD, etc., that will work with my new Samsung Smart TV? It needs to play BluRays and DVDs from all world regions. I have bought 3 so far and returned them that said they would do all that, 2 from Samsung and 1 from Sony, but they don't. If you know of such a player, please advise. Yes, I have Googled it, but many of the retail web sites have the wrong information compared to what the manufacturers tell me.

  • Application for iPhones - how to do it?

Does anyone know of a product whereby you can put your iPhone into a base station and then have it connect to multiple phones within your house, such that you can pick up an incoming call or make outgoing calls from multiple phones in several rooms of your home? Of course you can do that today with conventional phones, but I have never seen it done with a cellular.

  • Blank frame on DSLR camera?

Does anyone have experience with a Sony A550 DSLR having an occasional blank frame, most frequently on the first frame after turning the camera on, but not always? If so, is there a fix for this? I have reformatted the SD card and even changed to a new one already, but the problem persists.

  • Trouble with a monitor?

Qualified respondents only, please. I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 laptop running Vista. It works just fine as long as I have no external monitor attached. Once I do that, it can run for several hours and then the screen will go black and recover several times and then the whole system shuts down and reboots itself. Once this type of failure occurs, it will repeat every hour or so. I have used top of the line brand new Acer, and LG monitors and the system fails with both types. The laptop is 2 years old, as is one of the monitors. Another monitor was brand new three days ago. Can anyone tell me if they have had this problem or how to solve it?

  • Which is better, LED or LCD?

Qualified answers only, please. I am contemplating buying a new external monitor for my laptop. I want the very best quality picture, i.e., the crispest, sharpest picture available. Should I be looking for an LED monitor or an LCD monitor and why. Setbacks of either one? Other considerations? I don't do gaming, but I do a lot of photography work, so I need a very, very crystal clear image.

  • Why doesn't the sky look bluer?

Qualified responses only, please. I have been an amateur photographer for almost 40 years, but this one has me stumped. I am using a Sony Alpha 55 DSLR with a circular polarizing filter. When I compose a shot using the polarizer in the AUTO mode the sky looks very dark blue, which is the effect I'm trying for, but when I see the photo, the sky is a few shades lighter than it looked on LiveView. All other cameras I have used, both film and digital, do show the sky in a nice dark blue tint, so why doesn't the A55?

  • How do you compliment someone?

This is aimed at females of any age who are mature enough to be complimented without becoming all giddy or embarrassed. I am a photographer and therefore a people watcher. I see many females who have a particularly attractive physical attribute or are dressed in something very eye catching. How does one tell a woman, a stranger, that she has, let's say, pretty legs or that her perfume is really nice or that her dress is very becoming without being thought rude or forward? If you ladies go to the trouble of looking that good, don't you want to be complimented and if so, what is the best way to do it without being offensive? I am happily married to a beautiful woman and we have been discussing this issue, so please give us some input. I think women want to be complimented in a respectful way without rudeness or vulgarity. What say you ladies out there?

  • How do I stop Screen flutter on my laptop?

Please, only qualified responses. I am using a Toshiba Satellite laptop and Windows Vista home premium version. Often when using Internet Explorer and sometimes even when using my Welcome Screen, the display flutters horribly and when it does I cannot click anything. This can go on for a very long time. When it stops the display defaults to full screen mode, which I don't want. What causes this, how do I fix it permanently and would going back to factory settings on my computer help? If so, how do I do that? This has only cropped up within the last month and I have done a system restore to a date before it started - no help. I have also run a complete virus scan using Norton. Please help if you can. Thanks in advance.
