  • Fragile x testing?

    My son had a blood test on monday for fragile x, does any one know how long results take to come though? feel like i have been kept in the dark about it all. Also someone said he wont get diagnosed just through a blood test? he has had lots of assesments and i was told wait untill the fragile x results before more assesments so now im confused! I thought the blood test will say wether he has fragile x or not?

  • Has your child ever been put back a school year?

    My son is 3, he wil be 4 in august, he wa due to start school this september at the age of 4yrs 2weeks. making him one of , if not the youngest in the year. he has a few learning probs and the pre school and child mental health center have decided to keep him in pre school another year , making him 5years and 2 weeks when he starts school (the school year being september - august)

    i feel that this is the best choice, but just wondering if anyone else had their child start a year later and how did they find it , did it help?:
