How do you handle a situation about rape?
Ok, my boyfriends 16 yr old sister left her Facebook up on my iPad, so being the nosey person I am I read her messages. She was telling her girlfriend, she bi, that she done been raped at the beginning of march by some boy who is in the military and her parents think he is an angel and that he just wants to take care of her. She even took a pregnancy test but thank god it was negative. What I'm trying to ask is, how do I handle this without letting her know I read her messages, she has been acting different since then so could I use that as an excuse to talk to her about it. I've been through the same thing and since she has always saw me as a big sister I thought I could open her up about it and tell someone cause believe me holding onto something like that eats you up inside. I asked my mom about it and she said it's none of my business but seeing as in how I've watched her grow from a child to a young woman I feel like it is my business to make sure she is alright. What should I do?
1 AnswerFamily9 years agoHow do you detect a potential sexual molester in a young boy?
ok my 9 year old boy cousin might be a molester. ever since he was around five he has been trying to do "things" with other little boys. and his preference is usually boys who are younger and defenseless to him. on multiple occassions he has been caught at school trying get another boy to do the ill show you mine if you show me yours with their weenies. and two years ago he got the neighbors 5 year old son to take their pants off and try to do sexual acts with him. his two sisters caught him so no damage was done, we hope. and then he took his mentally challanged cousin who is the same age but has the qualities of a younger boy and he tried to get his penis in his butt, but thank goodness my grandmother caught him. the problem is i keep telling my grandparents that he is a potential danger and they need to get him checked out mentally because he will be on the news in the near future because he has finally succeeded at raping a young boy. they refuse to listen, its gotten to the point that we refuse to let our children over there alone for holidays. i have a little girl but i see his preference is young boys but you can never be too careful. so please tell me how i could make them seek help for him. and for all the nosey people his father lives with him as well, no hes never been molested, and yes his mother [whose no longer in the picture] did experiment with drugs while pregnant with him.

6 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoMother in law gone crazy HELP!!!?
Ok so my babies first birthday is coming up, me and her father were planning on a small get together with maybe no more than 20 people maybe even less then that. Well we told his mother were we are having it and she went into overload, she is getting a gazebo, 4 cakes and his sister, who i despise, made a prototype for the most fugly a** invitations, and she invited his whole family, i cant stand these people cause well they have never liked the fact that i am not black and they dont say a word to me and they are too loud. i just wanted this to be a small thing with just the grandparents and some of our friends with kids. now im dreading my babies birthday cause it has turned into a family event. I wanted him to tell his mother that she needs to slow down and listen to what we wanted for her birthday but he is too much of a mommas boy to say anything. what can i do.
8 AnswersFamily1 decade agoFriend who overstayed their welcome, how to handle?
Ok well this is what happened, my friend used to have bad car trouble so she would stay at my house because she lives really far away and my house is closer to her job, but she would only stay for like at the most a week. Well she got another job that is closer and she would stay every once awhile again so that she wouldnt have to drive all the way home at night, well last month she stayed for a week then another week and another week. She would go home on the weekends and be back on monday. well i thought she would be leaving soon but i overheard her say on the phone to another friend that she stays at my house on the weekdays. well i never agreed to let her stay at my house for weeks, months on end so that she could be closer to her job, if she wanted that she needs to get an apartment. So when she left she asked if she could come back on monday i told her why does she have to be here every week, go somewhere else. because i never agreed to let her stay here for one, and there is already four people in this house already, my mother, boyfriend, my child and me. and whenever i asked her to do something she would give attitude at first then do it, i would have appreciated no attitude, and i dont want people to tell my baby to shutup, she is only 10 months old and if someone gave me lists and rules for their child i would follow their directions because it is their child. well now she hasnt called and acts like i hurt her feelings, and my boyfriend thinks im trying to run another friend out my life. i dont want to lose her friendship but enough is enough, i dont really care if i hurt her feelings because she overstayed her welcome. what do yall think i should have done and if i did the right thing
1 AnswerFriends1 decade agoWhen did wood chips become a standard for playgrounds?
I remember when the playgrounds had either sand or the smooth pebbles. Now all i see is woodchips, how is that a safe ground for children. When a child falls off something in the playground i dont think the ideal thing to fall on is wood. All you get is splinters and cuts all over your body. I wont even let my 9 month old crawl on the chips because im afraid of all the cuts and scrapes. Now my question is how can i as a concerned parent get the county to change the woodchips to something more safe. I understand why sand is not ideal anymore because anyone can just hide a syringe in there but you can do that in woodchips as well.

2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoBabysitter to my own child?
My childs father was planning on going somewhere with our friend(she is a lesbian, the butch kind, so no they are not having an affair) and me and the baby were supposed to go, well I asked can they just take the baby so I can stay home and have a few hours to myself which I havent had since the baby was born 7 months ago. He said no cause he wont be able to watch her, but yet there are two of them. I screamed at him telling him that is bulls*** because I feel like the only reason she goes anywhere with us with other people is so that I can be the designated babysitter. So that they can go about with a baby but not actually watch her because apparently thats my job. He has yet to be alone in the house with our baby but I am all the time and I just wanted a few hours to myself because I am worn out from 7 months of constant being with the baby, I know every mother needs her break but I have yet to get mine. Who do you think was right?

2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoEight year old who cant keep it in his pants?
My eight year old cousin has serious issues. I always felt like he was a bad person and my hunches always proved me right, he is a sexual predator in the making. There have been 3 occasions that we know of that he has gotten another boy to take his pants off and tried to simulate certain things, but he never gets that far because he is always caught in the act. He gets very little discipline at home because my grandfather insists that he can do no wrong and my grandmother thinks its just a phase and that he is just playing. I have gotten into countless arguments with them telling them they need to seek professional help for this boy before he actually succeeds in his dirty deeds and ruins another boys life. His father lives in the same home but he basically pays no attention to his children he leaves up the raising children part to my grandparents. And now I have my own young child and my grandmother has asked to let her keep her for a few weeks, I held my ground and I told her not without me or her father there because I dont want that pervert around my child. Needless to say she got mad and hung up the phone on me. How can I get my grandparents to see that he is not just being a boy and that he needs serious psychological help, and how can i get my grandmother to see that I was right in denying her request for my child to be alone in that house with that boy? This is not a joke for people who are gonna be rude and give a stupid answer, this is a serious issue and I need people who are gonna give serious answers to help me out here!
7 AnswersParenting1 decade agoPedophile 8 year old what to do!?
I need help with my 8 year old cousin, he is a little beeyotch if you ask me and I cant stand him but I knew there was something wrong with him when he was just 2. Since then when he was 5 he got another boy to pull pants down with him and look at his stuff, within this year he got the neighbor boy to do the same thing and now he is no longer allowed over there, right before christmas he did the same thing to my 6 year old cousin. he never actually gets his thing in their "buttcheeks" cause he is always caught in the act before that. I continue to fight with my grandparents, cause they are the ones raising him, they say he is just being a boy and he doesnt know any better, that lil bastard is 8 he knows what the hell he is doing. I believe he needs professional help before he actually goes all the way and destroys another boy for life. What would ya'll do to the little bastard or devil child in this case! And for you people who are gonna say its probably because im mean to him, i never say any of these things towards him because he is only eight, ill do all that when he turns 18!

1 AnswerCamcorders1 decade agobaby doesnt look like her father?
i need to know from mothers who are in a interracial relationship if they had a baby with them and the baby looks exactly like you but nothing like the father, im interracial with thai, german and puerto rican and the father is african american, our baby came out looking exactly like me with my hair and she is my skin tone but with a lil hint of caramel. now it bothers me that people look at us when we go out probably saying in their head that its not his baby, but i have never cheated and never thought about doing it. but has anybody else experienced this and how did you deal with it. i didnt expect my baby to look exactly like him but have at least 1 or 2 features of his and i cant tell at this stage cause she is only 2 months.

4 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoi need honest answers please?
me and my boyfriend have been together for five years, we recently just had our first child. now i have wanted to marry him since forever, he was all for it until about a year and a half ago. now he says that he doesnt want to until he feels that he can buy me the ring i want and the wedding that i deserve. now i have told him numerous times that its not the ring or the big wedding that matters, what matters is knowing that we are combined as a true family and that i dont care about the material stuff just being with him is what is important to me and i dont want to have to explain to our child when shes older why mommy doesnt have the same last name as her and daddy. but he still says the same thing. so after all that guys what does he really mean? should i just 100% give up on the idea that he will ever marry me?
