I'm a white, upper class american who's starting to look at colleges to apply to. Every single goddamn one is full of white, middle/upper class americans. I know from experience that I can't stand a lack of diversity at my school. Can anyone recommend a diverse school for me?

I listen to just about everything; rock, rap, techno, reggae, and i'm always open to new genres. So all the people with good music taste, tell me about a good band/ group that I won't have heard of. If you've got a favorite song, please put that in there too. Thanks, hit me with some good ****.

seriously people, why does it seem like 90% of the questions that end with "does he/she like me" seem so easy? This place makes me feel like the frikin love guru (heard that movie got bad reviews anyways: well duh, it has justin timberlake). Alright, i'm just ranting now. Could god be a manifestation of the connection of people's thoughts and ideas? And is bisexuality, as displayed by many different animal species (read the newest scientific american) the true human instinct, and straight/ gay behavoir is the result of upbringing or genetic mutation? chew on that for a while.

I'm a 14 year old kid trying to get through my adolescence with my sanity. First of all, about 50% of my friends are depressed, including my girlfriend. And not just the "i can't go to the party so i'm gonna sulk in my room" kind of depressed. Some have actually been diagnosed with chronic depression. When I grow up, i hope to go into a career involving psychology, so I view this as my first major challenge. Has anybody had experience with adolescent depression, or does anybody have any tips that could help my friends?

Recently I entered a debate on the site last.fm about music. Basically, one of the users of the site wrote two paragraphs, and, using more curse words than I usually hear in one day, explained that the majority of the world's population knew nothing about music, and therefore should not insult other peoples' music. This inspired a heated debate. So i'm just wondering, do you think that people who don't play an instrument or have no claim to knowing music can judge whether music is good or not? What is you're opinion of the both these sites, myspace and facebook? Is one better for, say, a teenager to go on? Keep in mind that recently facebook opened its doors to everybody, regardless of age.
