  • How long before exposed film is useless?

I found two old exposed rolls of film from a Disc camera (a format popular back in the mid 80's). I know one of them is exposed. I know both of them are probably totally useless, but what are the odds of their being any useable information on the exposed roll, or has too much time pased as I suspect? The exposed roll has got to be over 20 years old by now - but it has been kept in total darkenss for all that time. Is there any hope for these old undeveloped images?

  • Attention all guitarists: What's the best way to fix a tearing fingernail?

I play classical guitar and need to have my nails long. I use clear nail polish to help strengthen my nails becasue they have a habit of tearing at the base. A friend recomended using tissue paper and nail polish to stop a tear going all the way though the nail - are there any better ways? This problem happens to me a lot. Would a cream to toughen my nails help? My nails have to be slightly flexible to get a good sound out of the guitar, otherwise my nails "Click" too much as they hit the string. I don't want to use fiberglass ones as these really damage your fingernails long term (...my old man being the perfect example)

Please help - All sugestions welcome. Thank you :-)
