We are closing on our refinance Wed. The original mortgage company is charging $800 interest?
This is a little over 2 weeks interest. Is this normal? The current principal balance is $112,500. We had to make a mortgage payment by the 3rd and because it was then 113,700 (4 or 5 days ago) when the new mortgage company called the original mortgage company says they will refund us that $1,200 within 30 days of the closing which is fine. My question is they are asking as the payoff amount of $114,500 which includes $800 interest which would be about 16 days interest for them to process/cash the check after the closing? (Obviously I don't think it will take them 16 days to cash a check!) Is that typical procedure? I have absolutely no idea.
3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoAre people always picking the "best answer" in Politics and Government?
I've noticed when responding to questions in Politics/ Government, the answer will often seem to be the same political party as the person, or support the same views as the person picking the answer. So even though there may be a dozen+ well-written responses the answer "Bush sux" or one referring to male appendages receives "best answer" for example. I think this makes Yahoo Answers look stupid and & maybe some of us could go outside our comfort zones and pick an answer that is more well-written even if it written by a person from another political party? This happens in other areas, but politics is so guilty of this, I am tempted to just give up, or pretend I am from another political party when I write an answer! Maybe Yahoo Answers should just take away the whole ability of people even choosing best answers in these categories and leave it to a group vote? Any ideas? More than 1 question sorry...
10 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhy is it that one of my prescriptions has only one or two refills on it?
I have one prescription (antidepressant 37.5 mg. once a day) that the doctor only allows one or two refills each time, so I have to call her office every month or two for a refill, which takes 10 to 15 minutes on hold. It also takes their office 2 or 3 days to call the refill in. Other refills from my neurologist for migraines allow me 12 refills so I can go to the doctor for an annual visit (no annoying phone calls each month or two at all). I've been seeing this doctor for 15 years, am a middle-aged married mom with 2 children, not suicidal, and seem low to no risk for drug dealing/selling and pharmacies only allow you to refill once a month anyway. Why does the doctor do this and is there anything I should or can do about this irritating situation? I just ran out over the long holiday, they just filled the prescription with no refills this time as she was out of the office, so I'll be calling in 2 or 3 weeks again!
1 AnswerOther - Health1 decade agoBest Paint Color for Bathroom?
We want to sell our 1906 house next year; and our looking for paint colors that most people will like or at least colors most people won't hate. We've already painted the living room sage green & kitchen and master bedroom pale yellow so don't want to use those colors again. What color do you think we should paint the master bathroom? We are planning on doing all the tiles and counters in white and white shades when we remodel so any paint color shouldn't clash. Thanks for your help!
