  • Names? Just wondering....?

In the U.S. one can live ones's entire life without meeting a single native born person named Nigel, Basil, Simon, Alastair, Clive, Cyril, Fiona, Beryl, Gemma or Camilla. My question is, are there American names you would never hear in Britain?

  • Did Grandpa take Latin?

I know we Americans do terrible things to the "King's English" but I really cringe when anyone on BBC America uses a Spanish word...ie, 'macho' does not rhyme with 'match'. Please, could you ask Grandfather to sound out the Latin vowels for you?

  • Really good cup of tea?

Have heard more than one Brit complain that they can't wait to be back home to have a good cup of tea. I have a teapot, electric kettle, box of PG Tips ( box claims it is England's no 1 tea) and a teacup that would do Hyacinth Bucket proud.....now what? Can anyone help a girl out?
