I just recently acquired a 13 year old Purebred Arabian Mare. She has come down with something and I don't know what. She has been coughing, at first ran a temp of 104.3 but is now about 100. She is feeling better but still coughing. It's been rather chilly where I live so we have kept her in the barn to keep her out of the weather. She is on an antibiotic and an expectorant. She wasn't improving much so my mom took her to the vet and then noticed that her back legs are really swollen. The vet thought it could be from keeping her in. What does she have? Could the swollen legs be a reaction to the medication? Please help me. I love her so much and can't bare for her to leave me!

My mare is coughing. We were effected by a massive mudslide and we had to have her at a friends house. We brought her home about two weeks ago and she has been coughing. Not extremely bad but enough to notice. I road her yesterday for the first time in about two months and she went out wonderful. She was full of energy and just wanted to go. The only problem is that she kept randomly coughing. She didn't act out of breath, her nose was not running more than it should, she was not sweaty like she was working real hard. I don't know what's wrong with her. We have not fed her any moldy hay to my knowledge but that is the only thing that I can think of that would cause this. I wonder if my "friend" fed her bad hay.

How much does a horse trailer weigh? I have a 2007 Ford Explorer V6 with a 4 liter engine with a towing package. It is said to tow about 7,300 pounds. I want to get a horse trailer this spring and wanted to know what a 2 horse, and a three horse slant trailer would weigh so I know how much I can tow. Of course I know that you have to include the weight of the horse as well.

I was wondering what exactly is the definition of emo? There is a friend of mine that I wanna know if she's emo or not. I wanna what exactly is the difference of emo and goth and what they both are.

My mom's horse has some sort of skin condition. He has these patches of where he has lost his hair on parts of his face, neck and shoulders. It gets all crackly and kind of seeps. So we thought that he had a fungal infection so we were treating it with a medicated bath and iodine. But it just isn't getting any better and in fact it is actually kind of spreading. What is wrong with my horse??
