  • Storing a motorcycle tank without creating rust spots inside for long long long time?

Hi. I have an old old Kawasaki Ninja in a good shape. I have been storing it for long time at outside under motorcycle cover(also under shade) since I moved away from mom's house years ago. Originally, I put full tank of gas so that it won't create rust spots inside of tank, but I must substitute with something else... because it's too dangerous to keep full tank of gas near the house, etc. Okay, I do not want to part my bike out neither(so, taking a tank out and store it inside the house is not an option) and the place is high humid(so, emptying the tank is not recommended)... The thing is, it needs major restore before I put life back to it(it has been years since it ran last time), therefore, I can put anything into the tank(any kind of oil, etc).

Does anyone have good idea??? If so, I thank you so much.

  • Kawasaki ZX11 Ninja 2nd gear pop-out problem?

I know this is a common Kawasaki ZX11 or mid 90s Ninja problem... sometimes 2nd gear pops out from gear and falls in Neutral...(It happens if I don't shift super tight, make it firm Click sound, or shift slowly). It is very scary... and makes me wonder what if it happens while I am leaning the bike...

I am looking for any available information(to repair this) through website, but I don't seem to find any!!! except forums and forums... Is there anyone who has actually done repair on this particular problem? or know any links or web resources? Is that bent-shift-fork? or something else? What's wrong with it?

    Thanks in advance!

  • GM Power window problem... Chevy Caprice/Impala. How can I put the plastic slides?!?! HELP!?

Okay, I have a 95 Chevy Impala. Only one out of four power windows(passenger side) is currently working. No A/C... It's like in the Russian sauna while driving that thing especially it's a black color...

So, I found out that this plastic slides which are connected to the actuator are broken. I paid high dollar getting new slide pieces but I cannot put it in. This plastic slides are in between this guide(rail) thing and I have no way putting new slides back in. Or taking out the old broken slide pieces neither!

Both end of the guide are pinched end, means that I cannot slide the piece(slide) out other than bending it. Plus the punched pin at end is also not letting slides out farther end of the guide.

I have no idea how guys at shop can put this thing in... If anyone knows the trick, I will greatly appreciate!

This seem to be a common GM problem because I used to have a 91 Caprice, and it had the same problem. I didn't bother it because those were rear windows.
