  • Can i demand an operation to have my spine fused?

I have moderate disc bulge and a deteriorating disc and need to have it fused with a metal rod and some screws to keep it in place.

I am currently taking maximum dosage of Oramorph (liquid morphine) to help with the pain. the surgeon wants to palm me off with a pain management course to help with the pain after the op, if this doesn't help then he wants me to go back and talk surgery intervention.

I dont want the pain management, id sooner have th eop and then if im in pain go to pain management, it seems an irish way to do it and it stalling the inevitable.

Pain management is a way of re-training the brain to deal with the pain, but what does it do for the problem? "nothing"!

Pain is a natural way for the body telling you there's a problem, so why retrain it? does this mean that if you have a severe toothache your dentist will say go to pain management first before he will deal with it? Its exactly the same as the pain in my back.

This is the government's way of making cutbacks, especially as this operation is very costly, and also it is very dangerous too and comes with some very serious complications. But im in too much pain and just want the op and then at least i will know they have tried to attack the main problem of the cause of the pain.

    Typical NHS rubbish.

  • Do i still have to pay the CSA?

I got a girl pregnant in sep 2002, i didnt want the child, i offered for abortion, she was not interested, my name is on the birth certificate, as i was told it had to go on there! when the child was 8 months old she left me and never wanted me to see the child ever again, she told the CSA that i was violent and not to take money from me as then i would want to see the child back in march 2003. I have no parential responsibility and we were not married. the child has now just turned 7 and ive not seen him since he was 8 months old. Now she has moved hundreds of miles away, met another guy and recently had another child. Now she has taken me to the CSA! Im not allowed to see my son and wouldnt even recognise him, i tried taking her to mediation for visiting plans but she didnt even bother to turn up. Now if i do see my son "IF" i see him that is, i cant have access to his schooling, medication, hospital, religous, schools or even sign a consent form if god forbid he was in my care at the time and had an accident, so basically apart form having my blood, there is NOTHING i can do or anything i can have a say in. So why should i have to pay fro a child that im not allowed to see or even know where exactly he's living or anything!! I heard he's not mine so i told the CSA, but they want me to prove it by paying £280 for DNA test! She wants the money from me so why dont she pay for it? i cant afford to pay so even though its not legally proven that he's mine, do i have to still pay?

  • Should labour be voted out?

Have they now taken the p*** too much?

Stealing money for their own purposes, having a cheek to put our taxes up to cover the costs.

Give money to tsunami and other victims, then put more taxes on us so they can cover the money they send!!

(not that i disagree with helping others).

I do think that other countries should help too, not just mainly the british as usual!

  • Why do Americans slag down the british?

    Why do they do this?

the british is renowned for having the best army in the world (not taking sides, cos it dont bother me).

but Every time there is a war and the americans are involved, they come to the british for support, and we are always there like a shot for them to give them all the support they need to win.

And the thanks we get back is real bitter and nastiness.

    Why????

  • A guy drills for oil in a land that he purchased...?

And he went down 10,000 feet, and still no oil.

He scrathed his head and thought what shall i now do with a hole 10,000 feet deep?

so he said to his wife, i will build a bungalow and make the toilet over the hole.

(well it would take a few years to fill up).

    so he built a bungalow.

As usual every morning equipped with a newspaper, jam sandwich and a cuppa off he goes into the toilet.

3 hours later, his wife knocks on the door to see if he is ok.. *knock* *knock*....no reply, she repeats it again and shouting out his name, but nothing at all.

so she called the fire brigade who broke down the door, and there he was dead on the bog.

the fireman confirmed him dead and said to his wife "did he have any peculiarities"?

His wife said "well he did hold his breath until he heard the first one go plop"!

  • Do you think this is any good for a laugh?

A guy goes to heaven, and at the gates St Peter says "congratulations" you have got a golden star.

"A golden star for what" asks the man.

St Peter says you have a golden star for church appearances.

"what does this mean" asks the man.

Well it means that if there was anything down on earth that you didnt achieve then you can go back and achieve it, but you cant go back as a Human, only a Blackbird St Peter says.

Well that sounds good, i never did have the chance to see my girlfriend naked, so if i was a bird then i could watch from the window sill says the guy.

So then "POOF" the guy is turned into a blackbird.

He flew to earth and landed on his girlfriends window sill at 8pm.

then on cam the light, wow he thought, she started taking off her clothes down to her bra and panties, then turned her back to him, took off her bra, then pulled down her panties, and he was now chirping heavily.

then just as she turned round.....the bloody cat ate him!!!

  • Pain in right testicle?

For a few months now i've been getting a pain in my right testicle, which gives that feeling in that you've had a kick.

When it bangs about in my shorts it gives me some discomfort too.

There is no sign of enlargement, but i do have a couple of small dark red veins showing on my scrotum.

    Is this ok?

It hurts a bit when i sit down too.

Its only in the right one that i get it.

    Could this be cancerous?

  • I'm getting chest pains all day today?

I'm getting chest pains all day, there in the centre of my chest, in one place, not radiating into arms, back, jaw etc..

It is not a very sharp pain, it lasts for about 3-5 seconds a time and happens about 3 times a minute.

I feel sick but not been sick. i'm not sweating or feel cold.

I do feel a bit light headed.

I have done a blood pressure test and my results were ok (normal) as it said in the handbook.

Am i all right? i feel ok in myself apart from this pain.

I've taken rennie to see if it was acid, but that does not help.

    I'm 41 years old male.

If i move about i do breath a lot heavier than i normally do but this doesn't make the pain any worse.

My pulse is between 90bpm and 125 bpm normal.

    It goes up and down.

The pain is a bit stronger than this morning, it started yesterday.

I'm paranoid of calling in the doc incase its something i dont want to hear.

So i thought i'd ask on here first.
