As many skeptics point out that the individual or individuals making a positive claim about the existence of something bear the burden of proof, would anyone care to offer proof for the existence of consciousness? By the same logic that ghosts and spirits cannot be seen to exist due to all the evidence being basically anecdotal, it seems that consciousness falls into the same category. There is no scientific evidence for its existence, all the evidence is anecdotal. Please explain how we may know scientifically that consciousness exists.
