When I watch my friend's kids (ages 7 & 4) they're usually well-behaved and I often let them know I'm very pleased with that and reward good behaviour with fun activities. However, the instant their mother comes home they EXPLODE with screams and jump all over her and throw things and act HORRIBLY! I want to tell my friend how the kids' day went and to ask her how work's going, but it's impossible with the kids acting like Howler monkeys! When I remind them that screaming and jumping hurts Mummy's back and ears, they say they're sorry and they won't do it again, but end up doing it anyway. The main problem is that she doesn't exactly tell them NOT to do it, she just tells them the same thing I do - that it hurts her. Mummy and Daddy are divorced, and she gets almost no help from him other than child support, so that's that. I'd be happy with ANY mature suggestions as to what I could do to either get through to the children or my friend, who I think should be firmer with them.

My stepdad is frequently laid over at the Salt Lake City airport on business travel and needs some suggestions for good non-chain restaurants near the airport. He likes all cuisines, but especially enjoys seafood if it's fresh and good quality pizza. Can anyone help me out?

My stepdad has a couple business trips planned to the Houston area coming up and I need to know what the best barbecue restaurants are in the downtown area. As he's just there for business, he can't really travel outside of the city. Can anyone help me out?

My stepfather has lots of business trips to the Alexandria, VA area and seems to return time and again to the Flying Fish, as it has great food and is near his regular hotel. Is there another great restaurant of that caliber near the Flying Fish? He enjoys all ethnic cuisines, especially those that prominently feature seafood. He's also partial to fantastic non-chain pizza! Can anyone help me out?
