I'm a believer in not combating nature for common health-related things. Like when people force themselves to sleep on their backs it's not healthy. On the other hand, not taking antibiotics when presented with a severe infection is not smart.

I have a velocity over distance graph on Desmos starting at x = 0, and I want to animate a point so that it covers distance over time according to the velocity over distance graph.

I know the distance formula from physics is x = velocity * time, but how would I make it work if the velocity is constantly changing?

I tried finding the average velocity before the point's position, but I could not do this without referencing the position of the point itself.

How could I create an distance over time graph from a velocity over distance graph??

I am making my own Minimax Tic Tac Toe AI in Java. I am almost done, but stuck with debugging. Here is a link to my code and an online java compiler:

(I know it's ugly- I started learning Java this year.)

It compiles and runs, but the problem is that when I execute the program (using BlueJ), it only allows me to type things in and hit enter, and then allows me to type another thing in. If the window that shows and lets me type things is not already open, it says it's running but nothing happens at all! I suspect that maybe my minimax or another method is wrong or results in an infinite loop, but I can't find what exactly.

Please help me figure out what is wrong with my code!

The function S(h) gives the sleep level on a scale of 0-10 experienced by a person with h hours of sleep without exercise. The amount of sleep of the person after t minutes of exercise is modeled by e(t). To determine when the patient will be at a sleep level of 8, you would need to:

a. Evaluate S(e(8))

b. Evaluate e(S(8))

c. Solve S(e(t)) = 8

d. Solve e(S(h)) = 8

?????These are the only instructions btw

I have no idea how they want me to answer or how to solve it please help and explain if you can.

I do not want an example of how math would mess up, but rather a simple explanation, if there is one.
