Network cable unplugged! But why?
i have a netgear broadband router and two desktop computers running on windows xp professional. One of the desktop is fine. I am facing a problem in connecting the other desktop and it is a very funny problem. When i connect the lan cable to this desktop, it says network cable unplugged even when the cable is properly connected at both ends(one end to the cpu and the other to the router). The port light on the router blinks to show that the cable is connected but i don't understand why the desktop finds it unplugged. I have checked the cable, the drivers for the lan card, the router everything is completely fine. I dont know why am i facing this problem. Can someone please give me a solution!!
