I am a happily married 22 yr old female living in Virginia. I'm a SAHM and love being at home with baby Eleanor (born March 2009). I'm a breastfeeding, babywearing, bedsharing, anti-Cry It Out mama.

  • Baby Eating/ Food Timeline for breastfed baby?

Okay, I'm pregnant with my first baby and I intend to exclusively breastfeed, and plan on doing so for at least a year, possibly up to two years. At what ages do you introduce things like jarred baby foods and rice cereals and the little vegetable puff things? And what about when to introduce whole (cow's) milk and juices and solids? I know not all babies are the same, but how did your baby progress? Thank you!

  • What songs were played on the Oldies radio stations in 1990?

When I was little (around 1990), my mom played oldies music (she was born in '57) and I grew up loving the oldies she played and the 60s/70s rock my dad played (the Beatles, Hendrix, Iron Butterfly, the Doors, etc). I need someone to jog my memory!! I'm pregnant with my first child and have been keeping earphones on my belly for the baby to listen to music. What are some good oldies tunes I may be overlooking?

    Thanks!!

  • Baby GIRL names?

Not pregnant yet, just getting my names together....

What do you think of when you hear the following names?

Ella Yvonne (I know Ella is a little popular right now but it's my husband's grandmother's name)

Susan Mary (Would call her Susie)

Rebekah Grace (Yes, Rebekah as in the Old Testament Biblical spelling... and we'd probably call her Bekah)

  • Baby BOY Names?

I am not pregnant yet, but I'm getting my names together. I prefer longer names so I can use nicknames when the children are younger and so they can have the option of using a "professional" name later in life.

What do you think when you hear these names?

William Douglas (would call him Liam... and Douglas is a family name in my husband's family, ick)

Alexander Patrick (would call him Alex)

    Benjamin Luke

If we happened to have twin boys, the first two names would be switched to William Patrick and Alexander Douglas (the first name is my pick, and the the second is my husband's pick)

  • LG Scoop- Connecting to Yahoo! Messenger- Airtime or Txt Only?

Okay, so I got a new LG Scoop (aka LG Rumor) today from Alltel and I have the 750 min/month plan and unlimited text messaging plan.

I know each message you receive on Yahoo while you're logged in on the phone counts as a text message, but if you're just logged onto Yahoo on the LG Scoop, does it count as airtime?

    Thanks in advance!!

  • What's wrong with my hamster??- he's lost his teeth!?

My hamster seemed to have all his teeth when I got them, but they slowly started falling out. They were getting weak and now he has none left that I see! I fed him a hamster blend of food that has various grains and corn and sunflower seeds, along with berry flavored yogurt drops as occasional treats. Do hamsters lose baby teeth, or is he just an old man? (lol) Anything special I can feed him that's softer, or is that necessary?
