I keep getting tan(y) = arctan(x) + c. My textbook says the answer is 2y + sin(2y) = 4arctan(x) + c.

I just want to know what I'm doing wrong in this.

In an explanation of an equation, my textbook did this step, but I don't understand how that is possible. It said that it exchanged |y - 1| with (1 - y) because this equation is interested in y near the initial value y = 0.

This is a differential equation problem if that makes a difference.

I'm currently going over splitting in H NMR spectroscopy, and my textbook says that certain rules aren't followed if the alkyl chain is flexible. I don't remember ever seeing that phrase before. Can anyone explain what this means?

Every attempt I've made at solving this problem leads to [1 - y*e^(xy)] / [1 + x*e^(xy)].

How does this process work?

d/dx [ x + y + e^(xy) ] = 1 + dy/dx + e^(xy) (y + x dy/dx) = 0

Whenever I try plot a graph, my calculator will show the graph and then flash syntax:error. It shows the right graph, but after it's done plotting, it will go to the error screen. Is there something wrong? Is there some setting I need to change?

Everytime I drink coffee or something I fall asleep. It's not just from that crash after the caffeine high. I fall asleep while drinking them. I fall asleep after eating ice cream sundaes if they have chocolate syrup on them. Warm milk doesn't put me to sleep, I fall asleep after drinking chocolate milk or a cappuccino. It's so confusing.
