An extension, MyTransitGuide, is controlling 'open new tab' and goodness knows what else. Free Superantivirus and Malawarebytes hasn't detected it. It isn't on the list of programmes to be deleted.

. I think it is something to do with the usb lead. I have to plug it into a different socket - think it's ok the pfff. anyone else had the same problem?

My sister never thanks me for the presents I send her nor even tells me it arrived safely unless I ask. Instead she usually turns her nose up at whatever it is. She seems to think I'm well off and should buy her bigger, better presents.

I've had enough of stressing out over it and am thinking of telling her since she doesn't appreciate whatever I give her, then I won't bother any more.

Is there a better way?

Step daughter hell? I'm married with two children from a former relationship and two with my husband, all four children are under the age of 8.

My husband was divorced with a daughter in her 20's when we married, and between them (father and daughter) they are making my life hell.

She has a great job and steady boyfriend with a huge supportive family as she does on her mother's side. It's like a competition between my husband and them who is doing/giving her more.

She wraps my husband around her little finger, and he wholeheartedly joins in. He brushes me off when she is around and ignores his two babies. She knows just how to play him and she pushes it to the hilt and beyond, so does her boyfriend. It's like a game to them.

I've tried telling him how I feel, but we (me and the kids) just get pushed aside when hell girl is around. Even when he was on paternity leave it wasn't me and the baby who got the attention. She took centre stage and I ended up seriously ill back in hospital for doing too much.

I'm not prepared to live my life like this - it really is last chance saloon, how can i make him see that what he's doing is almost guaranteeing that he'll soon be divorced again?

Divided property between the 3 surviving children. Would children of the deceased 4th child be entitled to dispute the will because it's unfair? or can a parent leave their money to whomsoever they wish?

Do doctors etc note when they give various jabs to baby in the red book? My niece is worried that their records aren't up to date. It seems to me that keeping a note of what jabs baby gets should most definitely be in the book.

I won a very large tem that needed to be collected. Unforseen transport problems meant I couldn't collect it straight away and the seller opened an unpaid item dispute,

Having managed to sort out more transport, we collected it and paid cash, but the unpaid thing is still on my account even though I've paid.

Is this something I should worry about and make an appeal please?

I won a very large tem that had to be collected but had a transport problem so emailed the seller to let him know, and give him the chance to offer it to other bidders but he'd already opened an unpaid item claim.

I got the transport sorted out, collected the item and paid cash in full, but it's still gone through as an unpaid item.

So my question is,although I unintentionally caused the seller a hard time, to save us both trouble,,should I dispute the unpaid thingy or will it cause probs if i just let it go?

When I mentioned that the water from our shower doesn't drain away too well which makes the whole floor wet, he said there could/should be a pump that sucks the water down the drain and out.

Family members i mentioned this to said it is nonsense and there is no such thing. Is there someone out there who knows for sure pls?

Windows 7, Every time my computer is running smoothly along comes a windows update. There seem to be more and more of them,and they often seem to mess things up . there seems to be no end to them lately,

Word starter seems to have been the worst casualty so far, and although I've figured out how to open some of the stuff I had saved, others not so good.

So back to my question - is there any way of switching it off and if there is, would it be SO awful if I did?

My daughter's computer with MSWindows 7 has been hanging a lot and she thinks it's due to a virus, but I didn't think she gets rid of spyware too often

The plan was to bring it to me, to download antispyware, antimalware,check on antivirus

Trouble is it will start in safe mode, but on normal start up it won't go past Windows 7 welcome screen.

I did the MSCONFIG thing to take out everything but windows.but no joy. I;m stuck.

Could it be anything to do with connecting it to my broadband?

when the bank called me in to discuss a fixed sum life assurance and asked about my medical history they gave me a life expectancy of less than 10 years, I was pretty alarmed because having been unprepared, I'd underestimated my weight by quite a bit,

When I got home I answered an online questionnaire more accurately, which quoted a life expectancy of 25 years.

Obviously it would make a massive difference to premiums I'd be paying if I stuck around for 25 years instead of less than 10,

I know it's a very inexact science, but would the insurance company deliberately shorten my 'odds' so I'd have to pay more than double the premium.

We're having guests for dinner on Christmas Eve. We always have fish on this day, and have decided salmon, but can't think of anything for the starter. We've got some Coquilles St Jacques in the freezer, but wouldn't that be too much fish? We don't want soup or anything messy to eat so any other suggestions please?

On sky mail a message comes up that I haven't got the necessary programme and to buy Office 10 on yahoo it just says unable to open email.

Really need to open them but don't do enough to need to buy or have Office.

My son in law put on a paid version for me. No matter how in/frequently I run it there are always 6 pup malwares to remove. Can anyone tell me if it is something to do with the programme, or am I getting them from a site I visit regularly eg ebay?

- if it's possible to generalise that is. We're looking for a tablet / ipad, and while we're hoping to keep the budget for it as low as reasonably possible until we see how it goes, I read that the screen is important for anyone, but it didn't say if it was size or something else. Hoping someone here could give some clues?
