  • What are the benefits of joining the army compared to the coast guard?

Do you have any experience you want to write about? Also, if a recruit is both capable and willing to learn IT, is there a way to guarantee that MOS or is it chosen for you?

  • Which branch of the military is the best fit for me?

Basically, I'm 24 and don't have much of an issue getting in shape. I just graduated wth a Bsc in Environmental Science and would like to put that to good use in the armed forces. I'd like some adventure, but nothing too extreme. If I had to pick between extreme and boring though, I would choose extreme. I have a black belt so maybe I could apply to teach hand to hand combat? As for a job, I want to get into IT and transition into cyber security when I get out. I don't mind being stationed overseas or being in the field but don't want to go near an IED or anything of that nature.

  • Libra moon in 3rd decan..?

Produces characteristics that are similar to a Gemini, but I would like to know if, for example, the Libra was at 29.99 degrees, there would be a noticeable Scorpio influence on the person's personality?

    Thanks!

  • Klinefelter's Syndrome?

I was wondering if anybody with any experience could provide me with some sort of a diagnosis. I'm aware that not all symptoms of KS must be present for a positive diagnosis, so here's what I know about myself:

-I'm about 5' 10 1/2" just like my brother and father.

-I have some facial hair, but it's limited to the mustache and goatee areas, as well as the underside of my jaw. I'm asian, though, and my brother is the same way.

-I'm 20 and have decent chest hair. It's not like a rug, but I have more than most of my friends. -Abdominal hair is localized around the navel and below. Idk if this is TMI, but my legs are hairier than most. They are also pretty long.

-I did have problems adjusting socially as a kid. I was immature for my age.

-No gynecomastia. No problems losing weight or gaining muscle mass, although my bone structure is on the slim side.

-I do tend to gain weight around my hips and butt.

-Baldness runs in my family, so I have a somewhat high hairline. I also have more advanced hair recession at the corners of my forehead.

    -I don't have any learning disabilities. I'm a pre-med major.

-Penis size is average. When I examined my testicles, they seemed normal size (almost 2" length) and soft, but I have nothing to compare it to so I can't be certain.

-My hips sort of confuse me; looking at my torso, they don't extend beyond my ribcage, but where they connect to my femur, they do jut out a bit. If I were to wear really right clothing it would just like I had large, muscular legs.

    -Deep voice

-I have a youthful appearance, some say I look about 18, but I have a somewhat heavy jaw and advanced brow ridge.

My only real concern about this is that it would keep me from having kids in the future. If somebody with some knowledge or experience on this subject would tell me what you think, I'd be very thankful.

  • irregular heart rate -- connected to breathing?

I've noticed I've had this for a while and even got it checked out, but my heartbeat accelerates when I breathe in and decelerates when i breathe out, noticeably. i am fairly healthy and exercise regularly and rigorously with no heart pain, disease, or family history of disease.

last time i went to my doctor, and the first time a doctor identified it, he said something to the extent of "cardiac arrhythmia," or something that sounded close to it, but then told me that it's "a sign of good health," which puzzles me.

side note: I've been practicing martial arts for more than half my life, so I consider myself in pretty good shape. I have good control over my breath when I'm tired, but if that is somehow connected to my heart issue, and if what I'm thinking is true, then I've essentially learned to partially control my heart rate... it sounds incredible to me,

but I can feel the evidence.

  • What are girls' preconceived notions about tattoos?

I've been thinking of getting inked for a while now, and I've decided I want to go through with it. I want it partially for the symbolic value (philosophy, religion, family) but I will not deny that I am partially motivated by that fact that girls dig it.

Would girls automatically assume that, because I have a tattoo, I'm the bad boy type? I really want to avoid that misconception because I'm just not the bad boy type who wastes his time being belligerent, disrespectful, and thinking he knows everything. I'm more of a deep-thinking, laid back, goofy-gentleman type. Would the kind of tattoo that I get be able to deliver that message, or does tattoo = automatic badass?

BTW My tattoos would be very symbolic and would be on my back so it's not show-offy or anything.

  • Trespassing in Massachusetts?

A month or so ago, I was invited to a house by someone who didn't own it, and am now getting charged with Trespassing. Originally, the landlords wanted to press B&E charges, but those dropped.

    I just wanted to know:

-If there is a chance that I can use the fact that I was invited and unaware of the true ownership of the house in my defense? Or will the court only look at the fact that I was in a house that I didn't own?

-What I can expect as far as punishment? I heard it's only a fine since this is my first offense for anything.

-Will this go on my criminal record? Can I get it expunged? I really don't want this misunderstanding to affect my future. D:

  • VERY important question about B&E charges! Please help?

VERY important question about B&E charges! Please help?

I'll try to keep it short...

-I'm 18 and I was invited to some guy's house for a party.

-It turns out that he was kicked out weeks before because he was a drug dealer.

-The cops were called in, and I was one of the people who had nothing to hide, so I stayed in the house.

-The landlords want to charge me with Breaking and Entering, even though I did not break in, did not intend to do anything illegal, and did not have anything to hide. I'm basically guilty of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Please, does anyone have an idea of what will happen to me? I was not arrested, but I will be going to court at a future date. B&E is a felony offense and I AM NOT A FELON. Who knows what my chances of getting a criminal record are? I plan to get a lawyer. This all happened in Massachusetts, by the way.

    Any help is appreciated!

  • how can i tell if i will develop schizophrenia in the future?

It's not in my family or anything, it's just that I just watched A Beautiful Mind and am somewhat of a hypochondriac.

Basically, I'm 18, so I would be experiencing few, if any symptoms of the disorder. I just wanted to know what I could look for so I could freak out about it and believe I'm starting to go schizophrenic. =D

-I do talk talk to myself sometimes, but it's to myself.

-I don't hear voices or see people or think I'm Jesus, but I can get a little paranoid at times.

  • I keep getting this annoying popup window on my computer screen. Think you can help?

    It says

    "Windows - No Disk"

(big red circle with white X) "Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c"

it gives me the options cancel, try again, continue, but no matter what I click, the window immediately pops back up again with that damn error noise. I tried putting in a disk to see if that would appease the angry computer gods, but it didn't work. What the FAAAACK?! If your answer works, you get 10 points + 1000 points of THANK YOU

  • Why do I hate it when my parents ask about my personal life?

I have a fairly good relationship with my parents. In fact, we've never had a real heated argument since I was a little kid, and it was definitely over something stupid. Now that I'm older and go out more though, I absolutely HATE it when my parents ask

    "How was your day?"

It's a totally normal, innocuous question, but for some reason, any time the subject of one of our conversations is on my personal life, I will do ANYTHING to change that subject. For the record, I do occasionally drink and smoke and have never told them, but it is pretty much understood that I do.

I wanted to ask this question because the other day, while helping my dad with some yard work, he asked if I had been under the influence of anything last night (out late) because he noticed a dent in my car. I was shocked that he would immediately assume that that was the cause (I had not done anything that night) but it also ruined my day that he would even go that far into my personal life. Idk why, but it made me pissed, embarrassed, and uncomfortable at the same time.
