On the fence? Will this help?

This article was in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel this morning. Hopefully, it will clear up some of the BS getting slung in the ads of the two candidates about each others voting records.
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoJohn Lewis is great! ROFL. How many phony race cards are in his deck?
First he pulls it out on Bill Clinton, after Clinton did more to help African-Americans than any president in history, now he drops it on John McCain after McCain has refused to inject race into this election from the outset and clearly goes to great lengths to direct his campaign to stay away from the issue. He even goes as far as to tell a supporter at HIS OWN RALLY that Obama's a good and decent family man and that we have nothing to fear from Obama as our President! That's unheard of! What more do you want from the man?
Wow... Senator McCain has really shown his true colors hasn't he?
Congressman Lewis, I hope one of your aides is reading this. You are a racist, a hypocrite, and an ***. Unfortunately, I'm not one of your constituents, so I'm sure you couldn't give a ****.
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoHonestly now. Partisanship aside for a moment...please! Do you agree with this? ?

Don't get me wrong. It's not which candidate who benefits that bothers me here. I'm still uncommitted at this point.
I admit, I've never liked Obama, but I like McCain less and less as we go along here, so it's a toss up.
Here's a couple of quotes:
"I think there's a lot of misinformation out there. Even people who may have been guilty of a misdemeanor feel like the felony laws apply to them and say they can't vote."
-Obama spokesman Kevin Griffis
Huh? People don't know the difference between a felony and a misdemeanor when they've been convicted of one? Right. OK.
Of course I would go with Barack," said Deshawn Tatem, a dreadlocked drug dealer-turned-activist from Chesapeake, Va. But he's never cast a ballot. "Right at 18, I caught the felony."
What?!? Last I heard you can't catch a felony. You can catch Polio. You can catch Malaria. Hell, if you're Terrell Owens and you're lucky you might even catch a football. But you cannot CATCH a felony. You COMMIT a felony. You get CAUGHT by the authorities and if we're all lucky enough they get your *** off the street!
Not every ex-con should get to vote just because he's done his time. I think, depending on the crime, some rights should be permanently revoked. The right to vote is one of them.
3 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow many Dems have stopped to look at McCain's Senate record instead of blindly following Obama's rhetoric?
The Democrats trying to paint him as a conservative Bush clone is a joke. The fact is: He is a very moderate Republican. He always has been. Look at his Senate record over his career, not just this election year, and you will know what kind of man is running for President. He has crossed the aisle numerous times to work with, and even write legislation with his Democratic colleagues, much to the dismay of his fellow Republicans. You can't say that about Obama. He doesn't tell lies just to get elected. He's not a war monger as the anti-war activist crowd would have you believe. He uses the Armed Forces as they were intended to be used...to protect the American people.
A life-long moderate Democrat voting for McCain/Palin.
25 AnswersElections1 decade agoIs Obama's popularity due in part to young people's seeing the character Pres. David Palmer on "24"
Is this life imitating art?
2 AnswersElections1 decade agoAre feminists rebuilding their own glass ceiling?
After an valiant, intensely fought campaign, now that Hillary lost her battle to win the presidency. The feminists, although no doubt, staunt supporters all along, are all coming out of the woodwork, acting as if her candidacy was all about them and not about America. They risk alienating the millions of men who supported her until the end. Your opinions?
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoHave the "Leave Michelle Alone" videos started on YouTube yet? LOLOL!?
11 AnswersElections1 decade agoWe've seen Obama shoot hoops, but can he throw the first pitch?
I hope he can better than he bowls. LOL
11 AnswersElections1 decade agoHas the Democratic Party sold out the base and backbone of the party?
Do they no longer represent the blue-collar industrial worker in this country?
4 AnswersElections1 decade agoDid Rev. Wright take one for the team?
That was all set up. Obama couldn't shake the issue, so they set that whole thing up so Obama could "officially" denounce the guy and come out looking clean as a whistle.
16 AnswersElections1 decade agoIsn't this article some biased BS?
They mention the salaries of both Clintons and both McCains but only Barack Obama, not his wife. Trying to fool people into thinking he's worth so much less than the other two. What a scam.
15 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy are news stories like this never on Yahoo?
It must be a protect Obama thing.
17 AnswersElections1 decade agoIs there a video on Youtube with an Obamladite whining ala Chris Crocker?
Leave Barack Alone!!! Waaaaa!!!
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoHave you noticed how little the Obama supporters have made out the McCarthy accusation?
Could it be that it's because of Obama's admitted ties to socialist/Marxist groups?
