So I've been around YA for a little while now and I'm enjoying it. Always willing to talk to friendly people. Shoot me an email or message me (I'm usually invisible during the day because I'm at work... shhh, don't tell anyone). I don't really like to say "this is me" in these things because I like to learn about people through conversations rather than reading their profiles so you get to do the same thing : )

  • Why might someone have submissive fantasies?

I'm sure this has been asked in the section before but the search feature did not help me out on finding where so I apologize in advance if this is a tiring question.

I've had submissive fantasies for a while. They have become more frequent lately and, honestly, more intense in nature. My significant other has no interest in pursuing such fantasies (from conversations we've had, though I haven't been very specific or outright asked). In an effort to understand these fantasies I began to wonder what would cause them.

Is it something that just "does it" for some people? Is it a wish to have someone else be in control of my life because I perceive that as easier? Or is it some innate thing that I have yet to understand? I've done some research online (but that's online so I'm skeptical to say the least) but haven't been able to find anything close to a definitive answer.

In the interst of specificity I would describe these fantasies as ones where my needs or wants or desires are secondary to another. By that I mean that if I don't enjoy a particular activity but the dominant does then I would engage in that activity. I might not enjoy it and in some cases it may be humiliating or painful, but once its over and the dominant is satisfied I get my enjoyment from the praise I receive and the satisfaction of the dominant; having pleased them.

Is this some deep-seeded wish to please everyone or some ingrained thing where I'm basing my value on the satisfaction and happiness of others? I don't know. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  • What's a good thing for you?

So, I've seen a lot of hate around here today (and recently) and Mr. Ripley asked a question the other day about what kind of questions we'd rather see than the usual "Am I gay?".....

So I decided to lead by example (yay me!)

Aside from whiskers on kittens and warm woolen mittens, what makes you happy? No fair saying your significant other and if your friends don't make you happy then you need new friends. I'm talking about something that you just really like to do or see or hear.

    I'll start : )

We just had homecoming at my alma mater so lots of my friends were returning. It brought back a lot of memories and good times.

My neice and nephew are, at one time, the most trying and most rewarding part of my life.

My girlfriend is a real sweetie (yeah, I cheated and named her because that's how I roll, fool!)

Sooooo anybody want to share a little feel-good, positive, makes-ya-smile stuff?

  • Do you have fantasies of which you are ashamed?

Not looking for specific things that you fantasize about but just wondering if people have fetishes or fantasies that they have a difficult time telling people about. If so, would you ever consider actually living out those fantasies or do you think they should always remain simply a fantasy?

  • What do the colors on the clone troopers uniforms mean?

Ok, my nephew asked me this so I turn to you, YA. When watching the Star Wars movies, especially episodes 2 and 3, there are clone troopers or storm troopers or whatever and they have different colors on their uniforms. I've seen yellow, blue and red.

Do these signify rank? Position (like driver or pilot or whatever)?
