Is it wrong for a Christian to have a cross on a necklace or wall? Would it break the commandment of worshipping graven images?
63 AnswersReligion & Spirituality4 months agoAre this temperature and food good for my Betta Fish? Also is this behavior normal? What should I do?
I bought a heater for my Betta's five-gallon fish tank and I wanted to know if it's preset temperature of 77°(25°C) +/-1°F is good enough. The instructions don't state if there is any way to change the preset temp so if this temp is not ideal I'm not sure what I'd do. The heater is called Top Fin 20 Watt Betta Tank Heater. He has been building bubble nests throughout the tank and today he ate 2 or 3 pellets of the Zoo Med Micro Floating Betta Pellet Food. The food says it has krill and stabilized vitamin C in the pellets. He has been fine and normal but today he has been having trouble staying at the bottom. Like when he swims to the bottom he is trying a little more than usual to not float to the top. I'm not sure if this has to do with a protein film that has kind of formed at the top. I tried removing some of it by putting paper at the surface and then removing it. I have had this tank with him in it for about 3 days and I haven't seen him poop. I also have a Top Fin Silentstream 10 Power Filter set at the lowest current and it has a tall ornamental plant in front of it to stop the current as much as possible since I've read online that Betta Fish don't like currents that much. He is swimming just like normal but just seems to have more of a problem staying at the bottom and sometimes releases air bubbles when he swims downwards. Is there anything I should do or should this all resolve itself within time?
2 AnswersFish4 months agoMy Betta Fish Died, What should I do afterward?
So I bought a 5-gallon tank and filled it up with water. About two days later I bought the fish and all the supplies. The first thing I did was start the filter (which I set at a low current), wash all the gravel and ornaments that go inside with water only, and then placed them in. After that, I put the heater in which is preset to 77 degrees. My house is about 72-74 degrees at all times so it was at the preferred temp in a matter of minutes before the fish ever touched the water. Then to dechlorinate the water just in case the chlorine did not evaporate I added in Top Fin Readistart Nitrifying Bacteria Starter. Shortly after I put the Cup with my Betta in the water floating on top to acclimate it for 15 minutes. Then I opened the cup and submerged it so that the fish swam out of the cup and into the tank. At first, the betta was calm and exploring. He even ate two pellets. After a couple of minutes, it started glass surfing and then starting looking like it was sleeping and died. I'm not sure what could have caused its death but what do you guys think caused it? I think it might be that the Nitrogen Cycle was not completed upon further research. I also read that a dead fish might further the Nitrogen Cycle. The dead Betta fish has been in the tank overnight and has started to decompose since I thought it was sleeping but the water is still clean. Is it safe to go buy a new Betta to put in or should I do a water change and wait a couple of weeks for the nitrogen cycle?

Yochanan walked from home to the bus stop at an average speed of 5 mph. He immediately got on his school bus and traveled at an average speed of 60 mph until he got to school. The total distance from his home to school is 35 miles, and the entire trip took 1.5 hours. The following system of equations represents this:
5x+60y=35
x+y=1.5
