  • Slipped disc thorasic spine, what next?

Just wondering of anyone can help. I have a bulge at T4 and my pain is getting worse each day. I've had the epidural spinal injections in the hope that they would work when in fact I am in more pain now than I was before. It's affecting my job as I am in agony and I cannot sleep at night. Has anyone else had problems with a disc and did they refer you on to have an operation to take the disc out? I've had alsorts of painkillers but none of them do the trick. I can't carry on like this and it seems my options are running out. I'm desperate for something to work and was wondering what the next step would be?

    Thanks in advance

  • Very bad spinal pain?

    Hi

Just wondered if anyone can help me?

I've been having very bad back pain now for almost three years. My spine at the bottom is so sore and I can't bear to lie on it or touch it! I have been to the doctors and he said it is mechanical back pain and the pain is in the muscles not the spine itself. I have pains in my legs and my legs are tingly sometimes numb at night. I'm no doctor but I know the pain is not in the muscles. When I press it is the bone itself that hurts and not the surrounding muscle. I went to A&E a few weeks ago as the pain was unbearable. The doctor there presumed I had a herniated disc and referred me for an urgent MRI scan but through my own GP who then refused to send me for one! This is now affecting my whole life, it's affecting my job, I cannot sleep at night for the pain and I also have horses which I cannot attend to like I used too!

I am desperate for someone to help me. The doctor keeps fobbing me off everytime I go giving me tablets that don't work!

    Any advice please? Thankyou

  • Back pain and shooting pain in legs!?

I have been going to the doctors at least once a week for months now because of a problem with my back. The lower part is so painful to touch. I struggle getting in and out if bed and have got to the point where I cannot sit back in my seat when driving. I have recently been getting shooting pains down the top of my legs down the back. Could this possibly be something related to my back problems? Everytime I go to see my GP he says he will refer me to the muscular skeletal clinic but I have yet to be referred. The pain is stopping my from sleeping and I cannot bend down to pick things up without crying out in pain. I have come to the end of my tether now, I've tried alsorts of painkillers inc tramadol and nothing has worked. Please someone give me some advice as to what I can try! I am getting a little annoyed as I feel my GP is ignoring the fact I am in so much constant pain. (Shouldn't be having these problems at 22years of age)

  • Individual eyelash extension removal!?

I had my eyelashes extended with individual lash extensions last week! I wondered if there is any way I can remove them myself?

They are really irritating my eyes as they are pointing in all sorts of directions! My eyes are constantly itchy and sore so I wanted to remove them! The salon I had then done charge £25 to take them off and I was just wondering If anyone knows any ways I could do it myself? I don't want to pull as i know this will take my natural lash with it!

Any help would be hugely appreciated! Thanks

  • Question about no claims bonus?

Hi, my dad is looking to buy a second car and insure me on it to use ever now and again. He already has a car with full cover and has 9 years no claims on it. We don't want to transfer the no claims onto the new policy but when the insurance asks how many years no claims do you have should he put 9? It then asks if he wants to protect them but they are already protected on the other policy. Its confusing and just wondered if anyone knows?

  • I want to sponsor a child in a third world country but how should i go about it?

Hi, after watching a programme tonight about people living in the slums of Kenya, i have decided i want to give money to a charity or sponsor a child. I already give to a couple of charities but wondered if there was anyway you could give a little child the chance to go to school. I know charities say that by donating money you give children the chance to go to school but with them needing so many other basic essentials, how many actually get to go? I wondered if it was possible at all to send money to families who have nothing or does the charity decide how it is distributed? I want to register to a charity that doesn't take a cut of what i give. I am desperate to help but want to make sure my donations are actually getting there and hopefully giving someone the chance of a better life. If anybody knows how i can go about this i would be most grateful.

  • Does anybody know where i can get cheap car insurance?

Hi, I'm 20 and i am looking to buy a small car so i can commute to work. However, the insurance on it is sky high. I have tried all sorts of different makes of cars to see if the insurance is cheaper but it doesn't really make much difference, i am looking at Puntos, Yaris's (small cars like that). I have had my licence for 3 months so obviously it is going to be slightly expensive. I have been on all of the price comparison websites and the cheapest i have got it so far is £308 A MONTH! Apparently my postcode is "notorious" for sky high insurance but that's just ridiculous. Does anybody know of any insurers i can try which could be cheaper? Thanks

  • Tragus Piercing Question?

Hi, i had my tragus pierced a few days ago and it has been fine, no pain no swelling or anything. I'm just a bit worried as the girl who did it said twist it everyday after cleaning it with salt water and cotton wool. It just feels a bit tight and there isn't room to get hold of it to twist it. I don't want to play around with it too much so should i just leave it? Could my ear still be swollen andthat'ss why its a little tight? Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks!

  • Question about my acrylic nails!?

I have been having my nails done for a while now and i recently went for an infill. When i was there, the guy did everything as normal until the last stage and he put a top coat on. In the bottle it looked like a see through light purple colour, When he put it on it dried clear and then he put a clear top coat on. When i got outside into the light, my nails were like a lilac colour where it is normally pinkish. If i use acetone free nail polish remover, will it take the purply colour away? It's never happend before so i dont know what will get rid of it?

Any ideas would be hugely appreciated. Thanks

  • Which is better, gel or acrylic nails?

I'm having my nails done tomorrow and i am not sure which to have. Which is better, gel or acrylic?

My nails are quite short and i don't want them to look tacky.

I used to have my nails done in gel but when i took them off, my nail underneath had gone soft and i had to cut them short.

Which one lasts longer or are the both the same? Thanks x

  • I need help with my dog please?

Hi. I really need people advice please. I have an 8months old Jack Russell called Archie. I have had him since he was a tiny pup. I love him to bits but he has got very aggressive.

When people come into the room he is in, he growls and then attacks. He will bite if he can get near. He has bitten my dad a few time and we have no idea why. Now he has started attacking me at night. If anyone looks at him or speaks to him he will go for them. I know the obvious solution is just to ignore him but he shouldnt be like this.

I have tried excluding him when he growls but it hasnt worked. I know i wont see results instantly but we tried this for a few weeks and we have seen no change in him. He only used to growl at my brother but now he does it to anyone who comes in the house. Even me.

We took him to the vets to be castrated and she said it was because he was protecting his environment. When i was there with him he was really growling at the vet and went for her, but luckily i had him on a lead. he said whn i had gone and left him that he was as good as gold. This is why she said he was protecting me. I dont know if this is the case or if he is just a naughty dog.

I love him and i dont want to loose him, thats why i am asking if anyone can give me some advice. I want him to improve and if anyone could please tell me what you think i can do then it would be hugely appreciated. Please no nasty comments as this is hard enough as it is. Thankyou very much

  • Can someone please help me with my dog?

My 7 month old Jack Russell has been castrated today. The vet didn't supply us with a collar to stop him chewing/licking his wounds saying it wasn't necessary. When we got him home he started nibbling at the lump that is left and it looked red and angry so i went back to the vet and bought a collar for him. I have put it on but he is still managing to get to the wound. He only seems to be licking but every now and again he will nibble it, it isn't bleeding but should i stop him. He seems to be a bit grumpy and growls when i try and prevent him from licking it which the vet said is normal. The vets are closed now and i cant go anywhere to get a bigger collar to stop him from reaching. Will he be ok licking it? The stitches are on the inside but to me it looks really red and angry. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

  • I'm worried about my dog!?

Hi, i have a 7 month old Jack Russell called Archie, who came to us when he was 7 weeks old. He is a good dog, easy to teach, very good in the park, not greedy, very soft however, he seems so attatched to me. If i move, he jumps off his bed and he runs over to me ready to follow me around everywhere. If i shut the door to keep him out he cries and scratches the door. I leave him there until he stops crying and has calmed down then i let him in. I spoke to a friend who suggested excluding him for 10-15 minutes when he is so "attached" but will this help? There are other people in the house but he doesnt seem as attached to them. He is very protective of me and will warn people off if they come near me when he is sat with me!

He gets walked for at least 45 minutes a day by myself and other members of the family and he doesn't refuse to go with anyone.

I am going on holiday for two weeks soon and this may sound silly but i am worried about him. When i go to work, he doesnt eat and is constantly sat at the front door waiting for me, even though there is always someone else in the house with him. Do you think he will latch onto someone else whilst i am gone and he will be OK and will he settle after a few days?

Any advice would be hugely appreciated! Thankyou

  • How do i go about getting a job as cabin crew?

I am looking for a job which i will enjoy after leaving a job i got to hate. For years i have dreamed about becoming a member of cabin crew for a UK based company but i just don't know how to go about it.

I have a degree in Travel and Tourism and i have an NCFE in Air Passenger Services and Cabin Crew, would this be any use?

I have searched the internet but cant seem to find anything. People i have spoken to, say i need to contact the companies via a letter or a phone call and express my interest as cabin crew but do you think this would help even if they have no vacancies advertised?

I am in serious need of a career change and would love to get into the aviation industry. Any advice on what to do would be hugely appreciated. Thankyou!

  • Why has my dog started to wee in the house again?

I have a six month old Parsons Jack Russell, we house trained him at an early age and he learnt really quickly to go outside when he needs to do his business. He has been really good for months, but now he has started cocking his leg everywhere around the house. He does it on the furniture and sometimes on people. He has constant access to the garden and i just dont understand why he has suddenly started doing it in the house after months of being well trained. People say he needs to be crate trained but would this really help? If anyone can give me some advice, it would be much appreciated! Thankyou
