  • Why do some people get ranked "Top Contributor"?

In Yahoo Answers, why does someone with 1,200 points get "Top Contributor" and others with over 14,000 NOT get it.

  • Is Yahoo-mail.com a spammer?

There are others reporting this URL. But I did a WHOIS on both (Yahoo.com & Yahoo-email.com) and they come back with the SAME NAMES & ADDRESSes??

How does the domain registration allow that?

  • "No color" 240 volt range power cord?

When my dryer was delivered, the power cord they brought would not work with what is an electric range outlet in my laundry room. I asked if they could just use the old 240 volt cord which still seemed to be in excellent condition.

They couldn't based on 'liability' issues. I understood and said I'd do it myself, he agreed that the heavier range cord was as good or better. He removed the old cord for me & left.

When I went to install it, the dryer installation instructions were for both 3 or 4 prong cord instructions and their color coding. BUT - my old power cord had no colors. It is a three wire, flat, heavily insulated, gray cord. All three wires were obvious in the design and the wires and plug is sealed together - so I cannot tell which wire matches which prong.

I called the useless dryer support number (they weren't allowed to give instructions over the phone!) I finally found an online electrician Q & A that answered the '3 wire, but no-color coding' question, with: "'Usually' the middle wire is the ground wire".

I'd not like to "Guess" ('Usually'??) and burn out the dryer, my power box, or my house. What is the wiring sequence for these types of 240 volt range plugs?
