  • Is the AMD Radeon 8610G graphics card acceptable for gaming on a laptop?

I don't need a top-of-the-line excellent graphics card, as I will be using the laptop primarily for schoolwork. However, I would like to do a little online gaming, and I would like to have at least a decent experience. I'm not really that well-versed in computer jargon, and although I've done some research I'm still not sure what my best options are, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

  • I just upgraded to iOS6 on my iPad, and now my sound doesn't work. Anyone know how to remedy this?

I've been trying to watch videos on YouTube, Facebook, and bodyrock.tv workout site, and none of the vids have sound. I dug around in my settings for a while but nothing is working. Did anyone else have sound issues upon upgrade, and if so does anyone know how the fix? Thanks!

  • Behavior issue with my dog?

I have a 2 year old female pitty, who is remarkably well-behaved, except for when she wants to come back inside after she goes out. To come back in, she takes a running leap at my glass backdoor. She's clicker trained but when I go outside with her, she obviously doesn't do it because now she has someone to play with, so she doesn't want to inside. When I'm inside I don't feel like there's much I can do either. Does anyone have any experience with this behavior or ideas on how to remedy it? Thanks a lot!

  • How do I get him to stop destroying everything?

I have a little male lab mix who is about 10 months old. He is hell-bent on destroying everything in my house! Now, I've never met a dog I couldn't train, and as far as everything else goes, he does beautifully! He learns very quickly and he's very obedient, except for the chewing of everything ever!

I've tried the old bait and switch, (giving him a bone or toy to chew when I catch him with something bad) but it's very hard to catch him at it. I've tried spraying that bitter apple stuff allll over the house, to absolutely no avail. I'm always stern with him when he does it, but like I said it's really difficult to catch him at it, and I can't scold him after the fact, because obviously he'll have no idea why I'm scolding him. What's more, is when I come home to a huge mess that he made, he KNOWS he did something wrong, but he does it anyway!

    Does anyone have any ideas?

  • My pittie has eye redness and inflammation?

I noticed this morning that my APBT's eyes are both very red, and the bottom lid is swollen. It also appears as if she has some kind of mucus-like fluid coming from them. I already have her scheduled for an appt at the vet tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before, and if there is anything I can do to make her more comfortable until her appt. tomorrow?

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

  • Does anybody use clicker training with their dog?

If so, how has it worked for you? I would like to start using this for my dogs but I've never seen it done. If anyone has any information or success stories, tips, etc. I would greatly appreciate it.

  • Which type would you prefer?

I'm at work currently and am very bored, so I wanted to see what you all thought about this. Personally, I prefer large breeds, even though I love all dogs, I just like working with large breeds better.

I would like to know what you prefer, large/medium breeds, or small breeds, and why.

Please no bashing either one, just what you love and why you love it.

  • All this talk about PETA made me curious...how about you?

People have been asking some questions about PETA today, and it made me want to do a little research. This is what I found:::

    http://wonderbull.com/blog/archives/does-peta-supp...

    http://www.nokillnow.com/PETAIngridNewkirkResign.h...

    http://www.petakillsanimals.com/

    http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/...

    http://www.consumerfreedom.com/pressRelease_detail...

Even if you just read the titles on these articles, the point is quite clear.

Tell me what you think, do you honestly think these people care about animals?

IMO, they only care about kissing Hollywood's a$$ and making ridiculous publicity stunts. Other than that, I personally feel they are useless.

Any opinions are welcome, I want to view this from all sides.

  • If you have a couple minutes?

Read this document, tell me three things:

What you personally think about the issue (not the breeds)

What you think could be done about it

How you think it got this bad

    Thanks for your time!

  • Why are people so quick to judge a dog or it's owner?

The more time I spend in this category, the more I see people bashing breeds and each other. I always see questions like "Why are pure bred owners so snobby?" and "Who wants a purebred, they're stupid?"

On the flip side, I see people bashing mixed-breeds too! "Mixed breeds aren't real dogs" or "mixed breeds are so ugly"

I don't understand. I thought this category was for DOG lovers?

A dog is a dog is a dog is a dog. Right?

I've had purebreds and mutts and I love them both. They both have great qualities and characteristics. Purebreds have a purpose for which they were bred, and mixed breeds almost always make the greatest companions.

As for owners, obviously ignorance is KEY here. Fortunately, more and more people are becoming educated about dogs, but we are still seeing so much ignorance, fear, and hate.

Which brings me to my next point: Why do people STILL refuse to do any research on so-called "bully breeds"? American Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers, Mastiffs, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Bull dogs, etc.

These are ALL amazing, intelligent and loyal dogs, yet people who have never even SEEN one in person continue to tout the horrible reputation they have?

Does anyone else see the idiocy?

  • Questionable dog food brands?

I have been seeing a lot of articles and questions lately casting a bad light on several brands of dog food. I have a dog already and am picking up a new rescue this weekend, and now I'm really paranoid about what kind of food to feed them? What dog food has worked the best for you and your dogs?

If it helps I have a border collie/heeler mix and the rescue is a young dobie.

    Thanks in advance!

  • What does this dream mean?

I normally don't take my dreams all that seriously, but this one caught my attention.

I was having a random dream and it kind of transitioned into a BBQ-picnic type situation with several people that I think in the dream were my close friends but I never saw their faces. I was going through the motions when I looked down and I was like 9-months-ready-to-pop pregnant! I kinda freaked out and someone said something about water breaking so I started to go to a car to try and get to a hospital, but kind of got sidetracked and started doing some really benign, everyday task. I can't remember what it was but it had nothing to do with getting to a hospital, and as I did other things, my big pregnant belly went away until I wasn't pregnant anymore by the end if the dream. When I realized I wasn't pregnant, I promptly woke up.

    Any ideas?

  • Handling of new baby Cali King snakes?

I just brought my new baby Cali king home, and she's very nippy and flighty. I've heard some pretty conflicting things about how long to give her to acclimate before I begin handling her, so I'm a little confused and I don't want to wait too long because I'm afraid she'll become aggressive. Does anyone know the BEST way to handle a new baby?
