I have a 15" Macbook Pro, and I was thinking about buying a larger monitor to increase my workspace, as I work a lot with graphics. This may seem like a stupid question, but I have to know before I buy it if my laptop will be able to output a higher resolution to match the monitor (1440x900 to 1920x1080), because I really need more space, not just everything to be bigger.

I found an ipod right in a snowdrift and it was covered with water and dirt. I don't know how long it has been there, but I cleaned it off and it was working fine. The place I found it in was the (public) parking lot of a condo complex in Vermont. Would it be legal to keep it?

I was looking to sell my old Yu Gi Oh cards and I just counted them at 680. They are used, but not in bad condition; some of them look new. There are first editions and limited editions among them, but no god cards (selling them separately) and no Exodia. How much could I get on Amazon or Ebay for them?

When I log into Windows 7 on my computer, I see a black screen with a mouse, and I can run programs like the Task manager from the ctrl+alt+delete screen, but my desktop and task bar don't load. Safe Mode does work though. Is there anything I can do? I have waited for like 20 minutes and nothing happens. But, I was messing around with things from the ctrl+alt+delete screen (I think I went to the Task Manager and hit "New Task" and ran Google Chrome) and then all of that stuff loaded.

My computer is about 2 years old and I've had Windows 7 on it for about 1 year or less. Already Windows 7 is starting to slow way down. I can barely play games even if its at the lowest graphics settings (I have an HP Pavilion dv7 64 bit, 4GB of ram, an ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card, and a AMD Turion X2 RM-70 processor). Also, webpages and programs load very slowly, watching Youtube videos barely works and its even laggy when its fully buffered. I have Comcast high speed internet with about 9mb/s download speed, and about 2mb/s upload. I don't think this should happen. I think that with my hardware and internet connection my computer should run just fine, but it doesn't. Should I reinstall Windows 7?

I have Windows 7 with a built in wireless network receiver, and whenever I try to connect to a wireless network with a WEP password, it takes about 30 seconds to connect. I have Comcast high speed internet with only 1 other computer (a mac) using the connection. Both are wireless, but the Mac can connect to it instantly, however my PC laptop which is only about 10 feet farther from the router takes much longer. Is there any way I can fix this?

When I watch things instantly on Netflix, it says "determining video quality" and I do like having it play without having to buffer much, but I was wondering if there was any way to get it to just play at full quality?

Every website I go to works except Youtube. Does anyone know anything that might be a problem? I know its not a problem with Youtube because it works on my other computer but not on this one. I have tried restarting just in case that might solve the problem but it didn't. Also I have tried it on 5 different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, IE8) and none of them work. This has been going on for about a week, so if anyone could help that would be great!

When I go to youtube, everything loads, even the video, but it doesn't play immediately and it's not paused. Also, I find that if you skip forward on the video it usually fixes playback issues, but even that didn't work. It was almost like the video controls loaded, but the actual video didn't, because the place where the video should be was black, but the controls were all there.

My computer randomly shut down and wouldn't start back up, so I did Startup Repair, and it restored my computer to an earlier time. When I started it back up, the sound didn't work. I have a laptop (HP Pavilion dv7, Windows 7 64 bit) and the speakers are built in. Also, I tried headphones, but they also didn't work. When I went to the control panel and tested them, it said it couldn't play the test tone. When I tried to reinstall the driver, the control panel stopped responding every time. Everything else on my computer works, and I have multiple antivirus programs, so I would know if I had a virus.

I was just wondering if there is any way to not get a virus from a site that you think might give you a virus, like disabling cookies or something? I don't already have a virus, I'm just wondering how websites can give you viruses and if theres any way to stop it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I accidentally spilled some soup on my Blackberry, but I turned it off and took out the battery immediately. I left it to dry for like 2 hours, but now the scroll wheel doesn't work! Is there any way to fix that? could I wash it in water if the battery is out? Any help would be great because I really don't want to waste a Blackberry!!!

I have a sound problem where whenever I plug in headphones, one ear is a lot quieter than the other, but if I adjust it in the jack it works for about 10 seconds then goes back to being unbalanced. I have the balance on my computer completely even, and I have tried reinstalling and rolling back the drivers. Also, this problem seems to affect all head phones I use even if they are completely new, whether they are ear buds or headphones. I have also tried setting them to mono but they are still unbalanced. Also, it is only with headphones because my built in speakers work fine.

I have it set so that it sleeps when I close the lid, but whenever it goes to sleep it sleeps very quick but it wakes up in a few seconds no matter if I close all my programs.

Please help me because this is really annoying!

I have Windows 7 and I am trying to play a game that is for Windows ME (I think). I have changed the compatibility settings and I can run it, but it is in a very small window and there is no full screen option. On Windows ME it automatically runs in full screen. Please help. Thanks!
