My name is Sarah. :] My life revolves around my horses. I do dressage, hunter/jumper, and I used to be a Western gamer. I have a 9 y/o National Show Horse mare named Havanna. I am schooling her in dressage, some light jumper work, and I hope to get her started in barrels soon. She is an amazing all around horse.   • How can you tell if a horse is under extended sedation?

    My friend just received a horse from a very shady, unreliable person. After talking to a boarder at the previous barn the horse had been boarded at, my friend started to suspect that the horse was actually under a extended release sedative. Especially given her reputed past behavior as crazy, dangerous, bucking while being saddled, etc... and her current behavior was extremely calm, almost strangely so.

    So, how can you tell if a horse has been drugged for an extended period? Is it testable in urine, blood, etc? What should you do if it was drugged?

  • What can I breed with my horse to have the baby be a Warmblood?

    I own a National Show Horse mare [Arabian x Saddlebred]. I'm thinking forward to the day I breed her, and I decided if I don't breed her to a purebred Arabian, I'd like a warmblood baby out of her. Now, the obvious answer to my question is, "Breed her with a Warmblood!", but I'm just wondering are there any other breeds I could breed my mare to to have the offspring count as a Warmblood, or be eligable with a Warmblood registry.

  • Why won't my Handycam connect to my computer?

    I have a Sony Handycam DCR-SR47 and I am trying to connect it to my computer via USB. When I plus the cable into the camera and computer, a screen shows up on the camera that says "usb connect", "usb connect" again [for just video streaming], and "disk burn". When I select "usb connect" it then will say "preparing..." with a blue screen but nothing happens. The computer does not recognize it as a drive. I even tried all the USB ports on my computer but nothing seems to work.

    I have connected this camera to my computer before, and it somehow worked. I did exactly the same thing I am doing now.

    What is going wrong? Do I need specific drivers or something? I'm really lost.

  • if you unfollow someone on seesmic, will it show that you did on twitter?

    i asked my bf to unfollow his creepy stalker ex on twitter.

    when i went online to check to see if he did, it still showed up that he was following her.

    he told me that he had blocked and unfollowed her on his phone, using the app seesmic, and because of this, it wouldnt show up online.

    is that true? will it really not show up because it's a third-party app? can you log into your twitter account using the actual website even if you only use seesmic?
