I work as a one on one with a special needs child. I have to get her off the school bus and put her in her chair. I have to get her out and carry her to change her, reposition her, put her on a mat on the floor, etc. She weighs @ 36 pounds. I was doing this before i got pregnant and hope to continue to. I was just wondering if anyone knew what amount of weight was safe. I will see the doctor sept 12th and I am five weeks right now. Thank u for any help...

I have been TTC for 7 months. I am happily married, have had three pregnancies before. For the past week or so I have felt really weird. I have had really strong feelings toward other guys. I would never act on these feelings, but I don't know what is wrong with me. Are my horomones out of whack or what? Someone else told me that their horomones were weird around the time they concieved. I just wondered if it is possible that I may be pregnant and my horomones raging? I have also had wierd twinges in my lower abd. Also lots of CM. Any ideas?

I am currently TTC. I have had two normal vaginal births and one emergency c-section. I hated the c-section. I do not want another. How likely am I to be able to have a vaginal birth after having the c-section? Any expierences?

First of all sorry if this is TMI. I stopped Depo in July 07. I haven't been on any form of birth control since. We haven't been trying but we haven't been not trying either. I am pretty sure I ovulated last week. It is not time for my period. Yesterday I had some spotting, mostly when I wiped. Today I had a bloody mucus discharge when I wiped. Any idea what could be causing this. Has anyone expierenced this as an early pregnancy symptom or could it just be the Depo still coming out of my system? I have no pain. I'm not worried just curious as to what caused it. Thanks in advance.

I am almost 30, have had three pregnancy's. Two of them were very normal, the third was not normal from the start. I delivered by emergency c-section at 35 weeks. My daughter was born weighing 2 pounds 10 ounces and sixteen inches long. She struggled to survive. She lived fourteen months. She passed away January 20, 2007. My husband and I are considering having another child. I am not concerned about me being high risk or that I may have another special needs child. I know that it may be hard. I know God will be with us, but it is still scary and I miss my daughter terribly. Any suggestions or comments would be welcome. I would like to hear from others in similar situations. Please no ugly remarks. Thank you.

my daughter is on oxygen. She is 13 months old and has been on it since birth. She was weaned down to using it only as needed at around 2 months, but got very sick, and now requires it all the time. Has anyone else had an infant on oxygen? How long were they on it? What is the best way to wean from it? She has low muscle tone so she is just now learning to take her cannula out but as she gets more mobile it is going to be harder to keep in. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to add a preemie catagory under pregnancy and parenting. Is this possible?

I have three kids. My oldest(boy) weighed 7 lbs 13 oz. My middle one (boy) weighed 6 lbs 8oz. My youngest (girl) weighed 2 lbs 10 oz. She is my miracle baby. What was your baby's weights?

My daughter has a Nissen Fundoplication and a MicKey button feeding tube. She has cycles of gagging/dry heaves. For several days- a week she will be fine,no gagging. But then she will have several days of severe gagging. She gags so hard she drops her heart rate. Her doctors have no clue except the fact that the Nissen Fundoplication can cause gagging/ dry heaves. Has anyone else dealt with this? Did your child outgrow it? What can be done to help? Any input would be great. thanks.

Does anyone have a baby or child that has or has had a G-Tube (mic key button). My daughter has one because she can't protect her airway to eat by mouth yet. She will be 1 in November. I was just wondering how long other kids have had them? And if they can eat by mouth at all? She also has a nissen fundoplication.

I don't think my daughter feels pain, or at least not much. She doesn't cry when she gets shots or blood drawn. She recently got teeth and has been biting her tongue and lip to the point of making it bleed. She doesn't cry when she does this, I just look and there is blood running out of her mouth. She is 11 months old. The is a thing called CIPA. Congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis. It involves the inability to feel pain, inability to sweat, inability to control temperature along with several other things. My daughter does not sweat. She does not control her temperature either. Does anyone else have these expierences?

What characteristics does one look for when considering if their child has CP? What age do doctors usually diagnose this? What are the reasons for it? I know there are lots of causes but in your expierences what was the cause? My daughters doc has mentioned it as a possibility, but that is all that was said. I didn't know if there was an actual test for it or just the doc says so. I was just wanting some parents input on what to look for. Especially any unique symptoms, that aren't the classic signs. i am planning to buy the Britax Decathlon Car seat for my daughter. She has low muscle tone and this seat looks very supportive. I was just wondering if anyone else has one and how they like it. Can a baby develop a intolerance to formula even after being on it for a long time. My daughter is on a special order formula called Neocate Infant. She is 11 months old. She has been on this formula for probably 10 months. In the last month she has started gagging and has a lot of air/gas in her tummy. She has a g-tube and has had a fundoplication. Is it possible she has developed an intolerance to her formula even though she was fine with it before?

This is for parents who have been there only, please no stupid responses. How may times a day did your child have apnea or stop breathing, or just turn blue? My daughter has been having some gagging to the point of turning blue and dropping her o2 sats and heart rate. The docs know and she is going tomarrow, so no go to the doc answers please. She has a feeding tube (MicKey Button). I was just wondering if anyone else has expierenced this.

low muscle tone. I am planning on buying my daughter a stroller with what ever support she may need to sit up and see the world. It will need head support, a five point harness, possibly hip support. I am not looking for a really cheap one. I know to get what I want and what she needs that it is going to be kinda expensive. I am looking to go up to 300.00 or so. I was hoping someone might have suggestions on what company to go through to get everything I need it to have. I know that a regular stroller company should have ones with these specifications. Thanks for any input you may have. By the way my daughter is nine months old,weighs 12.5 pounds. I want one that can accomadate her for a while as she grows.

My daughter will be one in November. She has been sick pretty much since she has been born. She can't eat by mouth and can not be exposed to any illnesses. I plan to have her a family only party. My question is since she can't eat by mouth do I have to do a cake? Can I just make cupcakes for the other kids? Should I do a big theme with the cake anyway? Also any suggestions of waht to tell people to get her for her birthday.( they always ask) She can't hold her head up yet so she is not developmentally ready for typical one year old toys. Any suggestions on either topic would be appreciated. Thank you.
