I have a friend who is in dispute with her step-mother over the health-care treatment of her elderly father.?
She has been banned from visiting or contacting him by the nursing facility where he is residing. What legal recourse does she have?
What kind of lawyer can she contact to mediate the situation?
Family lawyers seem to only deal with divorce and child custody. Conservatorships deal with disabled people who cannot make decisions for themselves.
I have been unable to find the right lawyer type. Can someone point me in the right direction. This pertains to US law, specifically the State of California, so a response from someone who is not familiar with US law would not be useful.
PS. She is an adult child of the gentleman in question.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoNeed a compilation of modern Christmas Songs (not carols)?
I am having a problem finding a SATB book of modern Christmas songs (those still under copyright protection). Not Christmas carols (most of which are freely available as PDFs) but songs such as "Rudolph the red-nose reindeer", "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts)", "Jingle-bell rock", etc.
Most places I have looked online have individual copies for download, but at $4-11 per it would be prohibitively expensive. I can find the lyrics to many of these songs online, but not the music with the lyrics. If can supply a website or URL in your response, that would be most helpful.
Thank you!
3 AnswersPerforming Arts1 decade agoRadiation exposure question-or radiocats?
My cat Binhex received a dose of I-131 of 3.5 mCi (millicuries) on Monday for hyperthyroidism (she's doing fine, thank you).
Today she was released from the radiotherapy clinic with a radiation reading of 0.4 millirads. Since rads are an obsolete unit of radiation measurement, I converted to Grays. Currently, her emitted radiation is 0.000004 Gy.
How many radioactive cats would you need to be equivalent to one chest x-ray (in Grays)?
Ten points to the best answer!
