I was pulled over today for 49 in a 35. There are no speed limit signs on the road I was on. The cop said that the speed limit was 35. Do I have a chance to fight the ticket?

I started the car and had some serious misfire issues, I could hear it. The wires attach to a distributorless system. The stubs on the cap are in-line. There are numbers on the system but I cant make heads or tales on which number belongs to which stub. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know that the order is 123456.
