of all things i love to write. all my teachers think this is odd because i am one of the worst spellers in my class. my style is poetery. my poems center around animals and nature. i spend my time ether reading, writing, or adventuing in the outdoors.I'm !4 and my friends look for me when they need help w/ poems Its kinda cool me as me a contrast between darkness and light hiding in the warmth of night , yet looking forward to the light of day. moody, but never shallow kind but not overbearing. fun yet controlled a contrast, a fight never a winning side darkness is my escape, light is my salvation View my poetry at Allpoetry
I have lost a Pattern for a Knitted Ear flap Hat, will you help me find it?
I am currently knitting a hat for a close friend of mine and have lost the pattern. This wouldn't be a big deal to me if I could remember how to decrease and finnish off the hat. But I DO remember exactly everything up to that point (because I messed up enough that I had memorized that part). If you recognize this pattern, please let me know where to find it. THANK YOU!
Ear flap One:
Cast on 6 stitches
1:Knit
2:Purl
3:Knit increasing by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row (8 stitches on needles)
4:Purl
5:Knit increasing by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row
6:Purl
7:Knit increasing by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row
8:Purl
9:Knit
10:Purl, increase by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row (14 stitches)
11:Knit
12:Purl
13:Knit increasing by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row
14:Purl
15:Knit increasing by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row (18 stitches on needles)
16:Purl
17:Knit increasing by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row
18:Purl
19:Knit increasing by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row
20:Purl
21:Knit
22:Purl Increasing by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row
23:Knit
24:Purl
25:Knit increasing by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row (26 stitches on needles)
26:Purl
27:Knit increasing by 2 at the first and last stitches of the row (28 stitches on needles)
28:Purl Increasing the first and last stitches
repeat for second flap,
cast on 8 stiches, transfer second flap onto circular needles,
knit across flap,
Cast on 8 stitches
Knit in the round til you have about 4 1/2 inches above cast on stitches
and thats all i remember. I know there is decreases til you are left with 8 stitches and that you just pull the yarn through those last stitches to sinch it shut. please help me find this pattern.

3 AnswersHomework Help1 decade agoMy Friend... A good poem?
My Friend
Every time you smile
I feel like the sun has come up
And the day has started again
For in My life
Your smile means
Happiness is not far away
Every time you laugh
I hear the Band playing
And want to join you.
I love the way your sax sounds
Even though I swore
Never to love a sax player
Every time you come my way
I try to hide the feelings
I have for you
I want to stay friends
Yet, my feelings
Could make things uncomfortable
HELP ME!! I need to make more sense with this. I know how I feel, but I can't get it into words wich is frustrating if you knew me! If you have a better Idea, e-mail me

8 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoCry of the wolf?
A posted this one a while ago. i retitled it Cry of the Wolf. Does it sound right?
a lone sound
a cry rising in the air
the tune,
a familiar malncohly howel of the wolf
a beautiful melody
a saddening sound
eruption of noise rises over a calm winter night
the song slowly returns to the lone wolf
than to silence the night returns
Yeah, haaevn't canged it yet, i don't know how, any good ideas?

4 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoto my baby nephew, good poem or bad?
To my baby nephew
I want to tell you a story
one of your mom and dad
Your mom and dad
are not here
for one reason and plain
The war in the east
Has taken them away
and keeping them from you
I wish you could see them
and them to see you
for its not fair what they've missed
They were fighting for their lives
while you fought to stand up
they where sleeping on the sand
while you where in you crib
I want you to know that they love you so much
but their jobs can't be denied.
Your mom and dad are fighting
for the freedom we all have and enjoy.
Should I keep this for when my nephew gets old enough to understand it? I hope my sister and buother in law come back home safe.
5 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoShould I send This Poem?
Why do I fall
for the funny guy
who can make me laugh
until i cry
Why do i fall
for the smart one
who can rival me
until the day is done?
Why do i fall
for the cute boy
who can be
so very coy?
Why do I fall
for the talented friend
who keeps me intreaged
until the shows end?
Should I send this to the person I wrote this for? or would it be awkward?
4 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoAnyone got a good idea on a name for this Poem?
Stillness of a summer night
With a rawring of the crowd
I silently think to my self
Have i ever been so proud?
To be in the Freshman Marching band
and to do what I've just done
I'm glad to be in this band
and to have so much fun
From the begining of the first song
to the ending of the last
when in practice it took so long
this time it went so fast
In this show where spy themes
from Instector Gadget to James Bond
of this silly five minute show
I have become very fond.
I wrote this about my high school band expirence so far. (currently I'm a freshmen) and this was at the state capital. the varsity band tied for best over all show and went to another compitition because of it. I'd like to give it to my band director to keep, but i'm not too shure if he would like it.
4 AnswersPoetry1 decade agoDoes this Poem remind you of Romeo and Juliet?
"Sing sweet Nightingale"
was the song I heard
coming from above me
from a voice like a bird
I look up to see
a young girl
with flowing golden hair
that in the wind did swril
Nightingale I call her
for her voice is just a sweet
and in this spot
we agree to meet
A poet and a singer
two friends from the start
and as the day diwndles
we hate to part
As we go our sepret was
as the sun goes down
I always hear her sing
"Sing sweet Nigtingale"
So does this sound like Romeo and Juliet. My friends think so.

1 AnswerLyrics1 decade agoAny one want to read a poem?
Its intitled Missed
Sitting alone
on an old park bench
watching cars pass by
The go and go
and go and go
Just to catch up with time
They're afraid to miss
a single detail
but because of this they miss alot
So far they missed
the eagle's flight
and the squrrl's funny figt
They missed the sun's victorious fight
to clear the sky of clouds
and regretably missed
the joy that is there to be found
of all these things
the most easily missed
is the lone girl
in a park
on an old, rickety bench

2 AnswersPoetry1 decade agowhat do you think?
I'm lost for words
I don't know what to say
when you look at me that way
we're friends
but, I hope you see
that the girl who likes you is me
I sent those messages
and the poetry too
oh please don't stop talking
I still want to be friends
yet I hope that on day, we could be more.

4 AnswersPoetry1 decade agopoem publishers?
hey
i have several poems that i want published so no one can wrip off my work any one know any online publishers?
3 AnswersPoetry1 decade agowritten today, will it be forgotten tomorrow?
its not my norm but here it goes, i'm thinking of calling it "the wisdom of children"
in innocence
in time long past
a child lies awake at night
to see the glow of a fairies light
she awaits and she sees her first sunrise
the next day at school her friends ask
"did you see it, or did you not"
but what she told her friends most would not expect
"I saw a wonderful site ,
most people take for granted.
a dream for dreamers no doubt
the site I saw most people see
yet do not see at all
for nowadays people rush and miss the glory
and miss the magic too.
its a shame for what they miss
is the day as it renews"
