  • What to do about a bye-week dilemma?

Here's an interesting situation. Let's say you do the auto-pick on a public Yahoo! league (curse my busy schedule that prevents me from doing the live drafts!!!!). Let's say that you end up with RBs with the same BYE week, both defenses with the same bye week, and your QBs with the same bye week. Suck. You try to swing a trade, but no one is biting, except for this one that probably benefits him more than you:

You get David Garrard, Ronnie Brown, and Arizona

He gets Jason Campbell, Jamal Lewis, and New England

Take the trade or wait it out and see if things change by week 4? I hate to get stuck with these guys all on BYE, yet I can't help but wonder if I can get a better deal if someone is desperate later. What would you do?

  • Anyone know a good joke?

I just found out my sister lost her children in a temporary custody hearing. Basically, her ex lied and got other people to lie for him, and my sister is about as honest as they come. Apparently liars win in temporary custody hearings. Good rule of advice for you all!

In any case, it is temporary, but naturally we are really down about it. I could really use a good joke to cheer me up, but I'll settle for you trolls making fun of me! LOL!

  • Does anyone know of any teaching jobs that START at $50,000?

Wow. Yahoo must be relying on some real idiots to write their news articles today. Anyone see this one?

    http://education.yahoo.net/degrees/articles/featur...

Teachers starting at $50,000? Restaurant managers? They must have gotten their stats in Boston or San Jose or somewhere else with an outrageous standard of living. Either that or they just measured upper tier private schools or something. Does anyone here actually live somewhere that pays teachers at the ENTRY LEVEL over $50,000? If so, I'd like to hear about it. My wife wants to teach, and in Florida and Michigan most schools start WELL under $40,000! Sounds like a dream world to me.

  • Yahoo Answers "contacts" and "network" problem?

Is anyone else having this annoyance? You go to click on "Answer this Question," and as your mouse pointer goes over the person's avatar, the stupid "add to my contacts" box appears and gets in the way. It is driving me nuts. I keep adding people to my "network" by mistake and having to go delete them. I just want to answer questions! Is there a way to turn that off?

Thanks! I know I'm dumb. I'm willing to live with that, so long as the annoying "add to my contacts" box goes away. :-)

  • What is the record...?

Does anyone know the record for the amount of times the same question was asked on here within a 15-30 minute period? I'll bet the "Did Anna Smith Nicole die?" question has to be up there! I swear I saw that question three dozen times in 5 minutes. Can anyone think of other questions that were like that one?

  • In Yahoo! Fantasy Sports, is there a way to upload a jpg image to use as your logo instead of an avatar...?

... or the generic logos Yahoo provides? Is it even possible? I am the commish for a hockey league, and everyone wants to create their own logo. Someone asked a similar question before, but only got one ambiguous response to it, so I am reposting the question. It was suggested in the ambiguous answer to the previous question that using Yahoo 360 was the key, but they did not explain how. I've tried it, and it does not seem to work. Suggestions? Thanks!
