I have a happy senior Shiba Inu - there have been 3 occasions in 2 years hes lost hain in an area & his skin has turned black & gets very itchy .. The vet has examimened him each time & treated - as allergies, ??? this time a staph infection - the only differnce this time he had 3 raines circular lumps - skin scabs of sorts - near the base of his tail on his back- right against the roots of the fur -which came out with the fir when he was brushed .... I'm thining something else is going on ?? His blood always comes back in normal ranges ... does thyroid always show on blood tests ???

I Would appreciate ant input / ideas to help my young man feel better thanks

he has very dry skin -I'm looking for more natural approach ( must be lower in protine ) to help his skin - thank you

Dogs skin turned black ?

My senior dogs neck, chest & throat area has been loosing excessive har & hi s skin in this area has totally turned black - it seems very itchy too -- this has happened before same time of year last year ( novemberish ) took him to vets - & thety put him on meds but it didnt clean up til 6 + months later - his skin turned totally pink again too & regrew hair -- its happened again but vets do no know what to do .... ??? has anyone experienced this with their dog ? & any suggestions ?? I've been using a hot spot spray to cut down on itching .. but the black skin issues is my worry - no skin specialists in my city / area :(

long story ....short running into problems with new replacement doctor - not wanting to any hearing tests at all

Generally ....how often should a person whos hard of hearing - due to cancer treatments get ones ears tested - from experience / medical persons ?

I have an older dog ( 14 ) who up till starting to give him liquid Glucosamine had great teeth now they have turned brownish and are not in the best condition :( I know olddogs teeth deteriate but this is more than normal.

Could the liquid Glucosamine effected his teeth ? and would switching him to pills instead help at all ?? And is there anything one can do other than bruhshing to stop the on going teeth damage ??

In a Canadian town not to far from the US border there has been sightings of a black cougar its mate ( a fawn regular cougar) and off spring black with a whitish star on it's forhead

i'm looking at 'adopting & takingin a stray cat thats adopted us -- I have a dog - what should i gt check out on the cat -- & should i get it fully check b4 allowing it to possibilly intract with my dog ?? (other than rabies ? )

My dog had an operation 2 days ago for a torn rear ligiment & was sent home -- Hes doing great except today he seems to be shaking/ shivering - not constantly on & off ...are there any ways to tell if a dog has a temperature / fever other that the back door thermometer test the vets usually do ? I have no problem taking him in if he seems un comfortable - but before I drive him over an 1.5 hours car ride to discover hes also a drama queen I'm trying to disquingsh between the two. Any positive input would be appreciated thank you

I have a older Shiba Inu, whoinhis older ages has become a lot less tollerant with nail clippings etc , anyway dr says ( even though he couldn't getclose to see in my dogs ear ) he has wax build ups - My dogs ears smells sweetish & he holds it one side occasionally -- Vet gave use wax softening drops ...I cant get within 5 feet of my dog when holding the drop container --let alone open the lid of it - I muzzle him - just incase he fear bites -but still hes like a bucking bronco & is extreemly no impossible to handle -- does any one have any tips ?Hes only 22 pounds but he can easily out smart /power an adult

My family friend is going through a NASTY divorce - so far its taken 3 years. her only source of income is a small amount of money her brother loaned her & she must pay back. her Adult disabled child lives with her, and both the adult disabled child & the mother who also has medical issues that prevent her from doing jobs available to her - she never grauated high school due to family situations.

she is still awaiting spousal support - the Judge ruled her ex must pay but thats 3 + months ago, she still hasn't recieved anything - only lawyer & court bills, that she is unable to pay. She has a place to stay but keeping up with bills currently os getting to be a challenge. Social services only said they would put her disabled adult child in a home & basically wouldn't do anything 4 mum

Any input would be greatly appreciated - on any funding in the Alberta area or programs or anything else legal or non legal related - shes in a really tough bind &needs all the help she could get

Long story story short while garage saling I bough a heap of things & also bought a see through type plastic sheet with like fibers with in it - theres an outline of a car in black on it one sid you see the design & copy rite symbol right way to read & the other side its backwards... I'm not a craft expert any Ideas what it is ??

Our neighbours' basset are having intense issues with it's anial glands - has had frequent infections, , gets them empties regually, but it sonessn't help the licking etc , once when emptied they even had blood in the excretion... The vet sugested an operation to remove the glands, ... Does anyone have any imput on such a topic ?? Please????
