At the moment I have decided to hold off on purchasing a new vehicle. My previous car was a lease, the lease expired and at the moment I do not have a car in my name. My independent insurance agent is telling me that if I do not keep up a policy at even a low rate, when I do get a car (whenever that might be) and then get a new policy I would be subject to a surcharge. For this reason we are doing something very basic to keep a policy in place.

This seems really strange to me and raises a question why do I have to have car insurance if I do not have a car? Why should I get a surcharge when I do get a car at a later date?

This almost seems like once you're in the auto insurance system, you cannot get out without penalties. Seems a lot like the insurance industry is trying to get everyone to pay into the system with or without a car. And if that's the case this sounds awfully like the auto insurance industry has already set precedent on the health insurance industry.

What am I missing?

Hello.....does anyone have a resource online that shows what the statistics of dog cancer is in the U.S. I have tried looking around, but I cannot say I have found anything that would be classified as a reputable source. Even Wikipedia didn't have any thing on Dog Cancer or Canine Cancer. Thanks for any feedback.

Here is my understanding:

All this came about, because the DNC formally decided which states would precede the February 5th Super Tuesday. The DNC wanted 2008 to expand the "star" state status of Iowa and New Hampshire to Nevada and South Carolina.

Once the DNC started this mess, then the Michigan and Florida Democratic parties chose to defy the DNC and move their state primaries up, the DNC stripped them of their delegates and asked presidential candidates not to participate.

What I don't get is who cares when what state has what primary as long as everyone knows with enough advance notice? This would be a DNC question as to why this raucous started here and why would my votes not count because of a date issue - that seems a bit childish from Howard Dean.

The next question is why was it important for Michigan and Florida to change their dates and cause this raucous from their end?

Does anyone know of any games that do work on the iPhone?

Does anyone know why the Yahoo Keyword Selector Tool is not working? It is continually timing out, inconsistent and there have been some rumblings that it might be going away? Anyone have any information about this?
