There is a big issue being made at the moment that some children are leaving primary school unable to read. The blame seems to be laid firmly on the schools. But what about the parents? I could read BEFORE I started school, because of parents who spent quality time with me, teaching me to read. (and they were very young parents! My Mum and Dad would have been 24 when I started school!)

I have always loved books and reading, and can't imagine on what I would have missed out on if I hadn't been an avid reader.

That when the housemates had to dress up as each other, and as evicted housemates, that Brian made a better looking Charley than the girl herself!

I watch the series '8 Simple rules' on abc1 over here in the UK, there has recently been a re-run of the episode where Paul, the Dad dies. What actaully happened to him? he seemed to disappear from the series very suddenly.
