  • Can someone sue me for having a tire blow out on their vehicle?

We had bought a free-standing fuel tank and had tried to pick it up multiple times but something always prohibited it - broken down truck, closed roads, sellers on vacation etc. Eventually they offered to bring it to us for the cost of $50. On the seller's way home from delivery he blew out a tire and is now saying we need to pay for the cost of a new tire or he will sue us. Does he have a leg to stand on? We are in Wyoming.

  • Unable to install Photoshop 7 with Wine in Linux: could not complete your request because of missing or...?

    invalid personalization information".

I have a dual boot system with Windows 7 and Linux Mint 13 and the latest version of Wine. I also have Photoshop 7 installed on Windows 7 from the same .exe file and had no problem with it installing. I want to be able to install it with Wine on Linux so I don't have to constantly reboot to use it. I vaguely understand the Terminal in Linux and not scared to use it, I just need to know exactly what to type to fix this, step by step.

  • What do you think of replacing Windows 7 with Linux Mint?

I'm having super slow problems with Linux Mint 13 on a dual boot system with Windows 7 so am debating whether to completely replace Windows with Linux Mint. Any thoughts or suggestions. My biggest thing is needing a good video editor (I currently love, and use, Magix) and the use of Microsoft Word 2002 for formatting my novels. Any advice is appreciated.

  • Computer shuts down after re-install of Windows Vista?

I am wanting to add Linux Mint as a second OS to my laptop (Acer Extensa with 250GB HD) and decided to do a complete Vista re-install to start with a clean computer. So I booted from the Backup CD and went through the installation process which got me to the main desktop and then the computer shut down. I was wondering if it was re-starting itself but it didn't come back on. So I turned it back on, got to the Windows Loading screen and it shut down again...and again and again. So I tried booting from an older Windows XP backup disc and got three minutes in and it shut down. Tried again with the same results. Tried doing a second boot from CD for Vista with the same results. Sometimes I got to the log on screen, other times to the desktop but it always shut down quickly. Finally tried to boot Linux Mint from USB, again got about 5 minutes in and gave me a warning message and shut down.

So now I'm stuck with a computer I can't use and with no idea how to get it working again. I don't want to buy another computer as I love the keyboard layout of this one. Please help.

I have done a previous re-install off this Vista CD so I know it works and isn't corrupt.

  • Would you want to ride the Colorado Trail?

I am in the initial stages of planning a pack trip on the Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango in the summer of 2013. Would anyone have any suggestions where I could look for people to join me? I really don't want to ride alone (for safety reasons) and would like to share this with a couple of other experienced horse/ back-country people but not sure where to look for people who might be interested.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

  • Calorie requirements for a dog on a pack trip?

I am planning a pack trip on horse back (next year) with my two dogs. I know their RER calorie requirements, based on their weight. However, since space is limited, and weight is crucial, I am trying to figure out how many calories my dogs need per day to keep them at their current, and healthy, weights. I believe our average will be fifteen miles a day. Both dogs are active and athletic already (one is a 3yo border collie and the other is a 2yo catahoula/ heeler mix) and are fed free choice at home. I will be introducing a calorie dense, high performance diet to them before we leave, but I need a rough idea of how much to increase their calorie intake from the base RER during our trip. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • What are some good life skills to teach teenagers?

I work for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation house for teens. Every Monday we work on life skills. I am struggling to come up with more ideas. What I have so far are:

    Resume Building

How to Write a Good Cover Letter

    Interviewing Techniques

How to Answer Tough Interview Questions

How to Write a Good College Application Essay

    Creating and Managing a Budget

What other ideas do other people have?

We already do things like cooking, laundry and cleaning on a daily basis so I am looking for things that are more geared to being successful in the adult world.I appreciate all feedback.

  • Second question about repainting an old trailer.?

Earlier this week I asked a question about repainting an old trailer at home.

    I have another question.

A lot of the paint is weathered and flat, not gloss. Do I still need to sand and prime? (I know I need to sand and prime the rust spots).

Also, is there a metal enamel (in a spray can) that DOESN'T need a primer if there is already the original paint on it? (I am painting it the same color).

  • Can anyone suggest any good mythical/ fantasy type RPGs for the PC.?

I am especially looking for games that don't require the use of the keyboard or mouse, only a hand game controller.

    3 AnswersPC1 decade ago
  • What games can you suggest for the PC that you can use a hand controller with, instead of the keyboard?

I like games like Oblivion and God of War but have found that Oblivion doesn't completely work with a hand controller. What games are there that will work completely independent of the keyboard and mouse?

  • Does anyone know anything about Trail Creek Tack Custom Saddles?

I recently bought a "used" saddle stamped with Trail Creek Tack, Custom Saddle, Victor, Idaho on it.

  • Confused about head pain?

Several times a day but only a few days a month I get sudden excruciating pain in my head. Each pain is spot specific but they happen all over my head. The pain is sharp and stabbing and almost debilitating but only lasts a few seconds and then goes away. I've checked WebMd and have found nothing similar except what is called a "thunderclap headache" and even then I'm not sure it's the same thing. I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this or knows what it might be.

  • Which current laptops have a curved keyboard?

I am looking to upgrade my four year old laptop this year. I currently have an Acer Travelmate and one of the things I like most about it is the curved keyboard. I am a writer and the design helps to reduce stress on my hands but I am having trouble finding a new computer that has the same keyboard layout as my current Acer.

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
